CSI:NY to go on hiatus in February

They tried this trick with CSILV--running an "intellectual" cop show, i.e. The Mentalist after a more action-oriented show. Didn't work then. I was pretty convinced the show would be cancelled last year. So an 18-ep finale is just fine with me.

    Grade 'Keep It Real'

If you live off-campus, you can have any roommate you want. My last year of college, I lived with 3 other women in a house. Worked just fine. I liked the episode. I was wondering how long they were going to keep Mac out of the lab. Average, but entertaining, case scenario. B+ all around...

Episode 10x01 - 'Countermeasures' ***CONTAINS SPOIILERS***

Then they should stop referring to it as a "police procedural," and start calling it a "drama," because there is very little policing in this show, and no procedure.

Ted/D.B.: Sam Malone Sees Dead People

I'm glad Ted didn't dye his hair. Since his face hasn't changed much from Cheers or Becker, I think there would be a lot more comparisons to his former characters.

**Season 10 Spoiler Lab - Bienvenido a Miami!**

It seems that, at the end of the last few seasons, the writers have written themselves into these huge holes, which requires all sorts of strange, borderline impossible feats to begin the next season. Sunday's episode was no different. The premise of the show--an escaped serial killer--is...

My Puzzle Of Dreams ( Ryan Wolfe Ficlet )

I like reading fanfic now and then, but I always couch it in the context that the writing staff might actually want to pitch this to the producers. With that in mind, a few problems here: 1. The "f-word" would never make it on air, not even close. Not in character for either Wolfe or Caine...

    CSI: Crime City on Facebook

I guess I now just view it as a complex Whack-a-Mole game. There is no logic where the clues are placed. There's no social aspect of it--that you can play with other people. I dunno, it just seems like something you would do if you had 10 minutes to kill at the airport before a flight.

    Who would you want back?

The funny thing is...I believe Caruso is older than Dean Winter aka the "Mayhem" guy from the Allstate insurance ads. Dean was 4 years ahead of me at Brophy Prep. Somewhat like Len Cariou is only 3 years older than Tom Selleck on Blue Bloods.

    William/Grissom: Of CSI & Beyond #14

I was on Netflix last week and found an interesting noir title called "To Live and Die in L.A.," starring William Dafoe, John Tuturro, and one William L. Petersen. It was his first starring role, so I wanted to see what had happened before "CSI" and before "Young Guns 2." What a mistake that...

    CSI: Crime City on Facebook

I've pretty much given up on the game. The change to the energy generation pretty much has ruined it for me. The cases are not very interesting. I can go through two of them and not remember what they are about 5 minutes later. Plus I have over $200,000 in funding with nothing left to spend...

    Fishburne Says Goodbye To 'CSI'

Interesting, before my last post, the following virtriol over Laurence Fishbune: now...nothing. Nothing but praise for his abilities. Wait, wasn't Dr. Langston a PhD and teaching forensics at some fictitious Las Vegas college? Strikes me that the only "learning curve" was when Grissom asked...

    Fishburne Says Goodbye To 'CSI'

I love all the "glad he is gone," "hated his character," so just one question: Exactly who will satisfy your impossible demands? All LF has done is star in some of the most iconic films of the last 30 years, won multiple awards, and done it with class and grace. Can you imagine walking onto...

CSI: NY Renewed For Season 8!

Happy that the show is back. I also like that they will still be back-to-back with Blue Bloods. It's a great 2 hours of viewing.

The future of the CSI franchise--Will all 3 series get another season?

Re: The future of the CSI franchise--Will all 3 series get another sea Those are pretty respectable numbers, given: 1. CSILV is...well, getting long in the tooth. 2. CSIM spends half the year competing against the NFL on Sunday night. Although that may not be a problem this year. ;) 3...

    Grade 'Exit Strategy'

I will go to my grave wondering what this rabid fascination an apparently sizable group have with Melina Kankaredes/Stella, and the corollary that Sela Ward/Jo is so deplorable, apparently for the simple face that she is not Stella. It probably has little to do with her acting abilities. She's...

    Grade 'Exit Strategy'

Well written, well acted, well done overall. I also hope this is not the end of the road for CSINY. It's a well-done series in a bad time slot.

"In a Dark, Dark House" Discussion *SPOILERS*

So... 1. In your "dream episode," CSILV concludes without resolutions for Laurence Fishburne or Marg Helgenberger for next season. Do you think CBS would come back for another season without both of these two? 2. I'm just glad the Haskell drama is over. I appreciate a plot being held over...

    Episode 9x22 - 'Mayday' - ***CONTAINS SPOILERS ***

Just way too predictable as a finale. We are left for month to speculate over who died, therefore preserving rating over the Summer. The "''H' got shot," scenario is not new. But it will explain the cancellation of the show, if it were to happen. And the death of NBV (which would suck, IMO)...

Who is your least favorite character?

Re: Who is your most unfavorite character? Sorry, "McFly" wes a reference to Back to the Future. It was meant to be humerous. Sorry about that. First of all, I completely disagree with your premise the Anna Belknap is a "horrible" actress. She is well-trained, and has received awards for...
