EXACTLY! Bring back the old Gris! There is such a difference if you compare S1 and now. He could play the lead in "Even More Grumpy Old Men"! We want the boyish, fun Gris back! :) :) :) :) :)

ebuzz: great smiling pics! The upper left of Billy at a Cubs game...did you see the clip? He sang "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" at the 7th inning stretch. Gawd he is tone-deaf! But I don't care...He was great! And tonight the SOX WON!!! That should give him a smile... :D

Re: Dislike A Character? Yeah, she should laugh or smile a bit more---maybe it's her lousy childhood. Gris has become awfully dour in the later seasons, too. He used to be full of boyish enthusiasm. He should smile more often--he has a devasting smile.

Re: Dislike A Character? I tried watching CSI: Miami....Ugh! My eyes started to bleed watching Horatio (Horatio!--puleeeze! :confused: ) posturing and posing for the camera--and then there is the issue of those GD sunglasses. His one-liners don't have the punch of Gris'; they sound inane...

I think it was the S1 pilot that he had such a lot of boyish charm. He had bought Lindsay a chemistry set and he was all smiles and enthusiasm. Now he seems a bit like a grumpy old man. But he is still charming at times. I would like to see a bit more joie de vive, though. He is so cute...
