well that is also true but if holly hadn't been shot then sara would not have probably not have been brought into the show, but tha twould be very entertainging, because they might hate each other, and grissom would have to choose.!

well i thought that it was when he originally kind of employed her and he seemed to have a connection with her. It was also kind of implied(i thought) when even though the rest of the group befreinded her a few episodes later and all that stuff, that he still seemed to want to hold onto her.

it makes sense that people would hit their children, but it can emotionally scar them, and somethimes it can gradually escalate. if the child is smacked across the face, then that is wrong, the child should not be hit if it cause him'her pain. If the cihld cries than it is definitely worng.
