If - IF - they know it's going to end, then the only closure I can see is H's death. I just can't see a 'happily ever after' for him. I've read more than one interview with David when he talks about H's death, and he seems to have an absolutely clear idea about it (and he usually sheds tears...
Didn't mean to jump on your idea, finch! You actually posted 2 minutes before me, but, as you say, great minds...
(BTW, I deliberately didn't put in my wishes for H... It's not that I don't have any, rather that I'm too biased to be logical!)
Thought it might be fun to list what we'd like to see in the new season - don't suppose we'll get it, but still... So I'll start:
Return of Kyle (or at least word of him)
More Calleigh, less Natalia
Should H have a romance, Renee or anyone else? My view - and I'm well aware people may disagree - is a definite no. I see that man as 'married' to the job. His loyalties and even love are for his team, and not much further. His sense of honour makes him take care of his family (when the need...
This may be naive of me, but how much do the ratings for re-runs matter? I mean, compared with the original showing? Surely a decline in viewer interest can only be seen there...
I don't think there's any reason to think David won't be back. As far as I know, he's never indicated he's restless. If there were tricky negotiations or anything going on, we'd have heard by now (e.g. upheavals in CSILV, Criminal Minds, SVU, House, etc. all now public knowledge). And I don't...
Apparently, anyone can make a nomination, but the nominee has to agree to be put forward, and the cost, if selected, is $30,000. If we wanted our heroes there, we'd have to lobby someone wealthy to make the move! (Bruckheimer? Zuiker?)
See that Marg Helgenberger is to be honoured. And that William Petersen already has been. Only a question, and no disrespect to anyone, but what about the other two - David Caruso and Gary Sinese? They're surely as famous, if not more so?
9/10 - too much Natalia and not enough H, otherwise it could have had 10.
I chose Mayday for its last 5 minutes, because that was so powerful I can't leave it alone, and it won't leave me alone. (Not felt like that for a long time.)
I agree - no David, no CSI Miami, as far as I'm concerned. I think what's happened with Law & Order SVU (and House, to some extent) is making me nervous. I don't think for a moment they'll 'get rid of him', but negotiations can come unstuck. I'd just like to hear a definite 'yes'.
Look, I'm glad Eva LaRue has signed for season 10, I really am! Now, will someone answer the big question....? David, if you're out there - let us off the hook!
Re: The future of the CSI franchise--Will all 3 series get another sea
Very happy that all 3 are coming back. Now, if they can just confirm that they're NOT losing any of the leads... Look what's happened with Cuddy in 'House'.
