That's one of my favorite quirks, next to his lopsided grin. I think the ring distracts him sometimes which could be the reason he goes without it occasionally. Telling Letterman the whole sordid story. Good observation GameFace.

I love the hat too, mostly because of it's history (a friend gave it to him) and that he and Grissom are just quirky enough to wear it. Gotta love a guy who marches to his own music. That cap of his feet/shoes is priceless. He has cute feet. :)
