I totally agree. But for some reason the writers have problems separating the characters and the actors. They are constantly writing things in for the characters that are actually true to then. To start with Danny/Carmine being from a family of cops, playing baseball, etc... Mac's from Illinois...

It was a so-so episode for me. The case was fine for the most part and I thought the clown thing was pretty smart. I just couldn't really get into the Flack/Bobby storyline that well. I was appalled that once again they put Danny in a grandpa sweater. I thought Jo's ex was a bit arrogant, TBH.

Danny and Flack getting beat up by that guy was probably the highlight of the episode for me. I hadn't pegged Roni's son as the killer. It was pretty horrible the way the woman treated her kids though. Lots of Mac & Jo in this episode, I think Hawkes may have had one scene.

There's no way a cop doesn't report his gun missing? I guess Mac didn't find out about Danny's gun being stolen and his failure to report it.

In the promo I was much more interested in Danny & Flack taking down that guy than Mac talking to Carver, I have to admit.

It probably won't be much of anything. Lindsay will probably just empathize with Kate or whatever and maybe there will be one scene or something where they "bond" - but I doubt it will be a huge part of the episode. I think it's really ridiculous that they've changed her name to Lindsay Monroe...

I'm very interested in how this story-line with Lumen will play out. Also, the guy that Quinn hired - he's onto something - taking pictures of Dexter and Lumen tossing the body parts off the boat.
