This is just my opinion, but I think they kept Horatio 'MIA' during Calleigh's near-death experiences to strengthen the bond, and then set up the relationship between her and Eric. That promo photo of H staring at the fire is probably just that - a promo. I doubt we'll actually see the scene...

I'm looking forward to this one. I hope the hype about Horatio "possibly meeting his match" in this guy's father isn't overblown. Horatio needs a strong enemy (no, Memmo won't do anymore, at least not anymore) to challenge him.
