At some point down the line they might do a tv movie but that's a long shot. As to everything else,nope. Once a long running show gets canceled,it normally stays that way.

I won't be watching the new show either but it's because I don't for the Good Wife,so I wouldn't care about a spinoff either. I'm not for punishing a new show because it took the place of another. Not fair to the cast or crew of that show for a choice the big wigs made.

Before Cold Case was officially canceled,I had held out hope that it would be back in season 8 but with fewer episodes. Wasn't meant to be. I'll take a shorter season of CSI NY than none at all.

I would do but I have strong hunch we'll simply be getting another 16-18 episodes,which drives me nuts. Even the writer's strike shortened season(which still drives me nuts five years later) had more episodes.

For any Mentalist fan,you should prepare yourselves for the next season to be the last one,as it has been given the timeslot of death of 10 on Sunday Night. The last four shows to be put there were all canceled at the end of that year.

There was Doug,the Power Rangers,Scooby-Doo and my personal favorite,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

That's how I felt when Murder,She Wrote,Cold Case were canceled. In both cases, I knew the shows would be canceled and you have a few months to deal with it but it didn't fully hit me with either of the shows that they were gone for good until fall rolled around.

People who seem to forget this weekend is about celebrating the men and women who gave their lives for this country more than it being a three day weekend.

Yup,I'm still steamed about how all that went down. It is one of the few times that fan outrage (I'm sure the other stars helped too) got a network to change course.

I enjoyed the ending of the episode. Nicely done and it was nice to see the writers give Paget a gracious exit from the show.

Law & Order was canceled due to ratings.Like many that feel the same way about CSI Miami,my anger on that is how it didn't get a final send off,20 years on the air and NBC couldn't give the cast and the show its due. On CBS,my mom is a huge Murder,She Wrote fan and still remembers what they did...

I enjoyed the ending too Geeno. It's nice to see her get a send off with dignity.

Have to join in on the ranting. I hate,HATE the fact CBS is once again insulting our intelligence on why a show was canned and instead is giving us a lame excuse for it. I was ticked off when COld Case got canceled but at least CBS admitted it was due to $$$. CSI Miami,Criminal...

CRM,Paget is in fact leaving Criminal Minds because of the garbage they put her and A.J. through. For Melina,Will and Marg, I think part of the reason they left was CBS bigwigs but a bigger reason is I think they all wanted to move on to other projects,especially Will.

I guess we'll have to wait and see. I will say that I wouldn't trust anything that comes out of a CBS bigwig's mouth but that's just me.

Re: CSI: NY moves to Fridays at 8pm (7 central) this Fall I doubt it...you can only be on the bubble for so long before they pull the plug. If I were the writers, I would strongly look at this season as its last.

Like I said before, Cold Case is the only one of the shows I liked where CBS came right out and said it was about $$$. The rest..they give excuses just as lame or worse as the ones for CSI Miami.

I've been feeling that way about that show for years. Quality shows get canceled due to $$$ yet a show with a drug addict actor kept getting renewed while he kept getting $$$ for it. Canceling that show would have brought them in a bundle of money.

Not really shocked by the weak CBS excuse. I still remember way back when when they put Murder,She Wrote against Friends in it's final year on the air and claimed it was because MSW needed a fresh night. That was an insult to the viewers and to Angela most of all. On Criminal Minds,Paget...

I know the feeling. In their defense,they didn't have as much warning as other shows but in the same breath..the shortned season and the move to a time slot where the three previous shows put there were all canceled. It should have been set up better at the end.
