The Rest In Peace & Remembrance Thread #2

Unfortunately, it's official. Today is also the 41st anniversary of Jim Morrison's death. The Lizard King, Mr. Mojo Risin, etc. :(

The Last Movie You Saw - Thread 4

I watched "Dazed and Confused" for the nth time last night. I found it cleaning out the garage. I still can't believe Matthew McConaughey didn't get billing for his role. And of course Rory Cochrane.

CBS digs back at ABC for creating a show that copies "Big Brother"

You may be the first person outside of the executive offices of a TV studio who have used "reality programming" and "intellectual" property in the same sentence, ever. :guffaw: And yes, it was hilarious. I don't think ABC ever had a response, but they would have looked stupid either way.

    "Living Legend" Discussion **Spoilers**

Re: "Living Legend" Discussion **Spoilers** I know this is an old thread, but this episode was on this morning. In the flashback scene where the young Mickey shoots the cop, it struck me that the music in the background is the same in the opening scene of "Dirty Harry," by Lalo Schiffrin.

    House #3: Everybody Lies

Saw the last show...kind of a mind warp. The NY Times referred to it as a Sherlock/Watson fake death move. I didn't watch the show enough to know all the ins and outs, but it generally was a morbidly entertaining show. :)

    CSI:Miami is cancelled.

Whew! Thanks for that! They should go right back to the beginning. ;)

    CSI:Miami is cancelled.

I've noticed the seasons syndicated to AMC are the really mediocre ones later in the show run. This week is the start of our old friend Ron Saris.:scream:

    CSI:Miami is cancelled.

No, he wasn't. A UC would never report directly to a police station every day, as he and Tubbs did. None taken. At least you didn't get me started on Brazil. I will watch the show in reruns now and then. Not in any recent years. I know of the episodes to which you refer. The single...

    CSI:Miami is cancelled.

When a TV executive says it has nothing to do with ratings or budgets, it has everything to do with ratings and budgets. To the issue of a NYC-fest, I think we all need to admit CSIM was pretty much a fantasy world. Only rich people in Coral Gables get killed, policemen drive...

CSI: NY Renewed for Season 9

I've always wondered how much it cost to rent out the FAA Employees Credit Union to use as the facade of the MDPD crime lab.

    Season 12 Review

I think Danson turned out to be a masterful addition to the cast. I can sense some of the pluckiness he exhibited in Sam Malone, but he can be as serious as a heart attack. There was an amount of tension between the old guard and the new additions. I'm a little leery of this "everyone is...

CSI: NY Renewed for Season 9

I don't think this is a mind-blower of a surprise. An article in TV Guide a few months ago actually preferred the cancellation of CSIM over NY, more for creative reasons than financial ones.

CSI: NY Renewed for Season 9

Very happy news! My favorite of the 3. Based on that final scene in "Near Death" where Mac is back, I sensed there would be at least 1 more shortened season. It seemed a little patchwork, like it didn't really belong to the rest of the episode.

    CSI:Miami is cancelled.

I doubt AMC, which already has a rather robust original schedule, would want to pick up such an expensive show like CSIM. We all need to relax a little here. The show will be syndicated long into the future. I for one will be a bit happy that the poor writing on this show will come to an end...

    CSI SpinOffs in Limbo

And CSIM is just another glossy melodrama which involves no actual police work, no legitimate forensic science, and procedure that would generally bring civil right lawsuits in most courts. So please, stop with the canard that CSIM is some avant-garde TV show. I liked it better the first time...

    "Homecoming" Discussion **SPOILERS**

I agree. Ya gotta admit...if you wanted some cliff-hangers to drive you crazy over the Summer...you got 'em. The last season has been well-written, and Ted has brought a breath of fresh air to the show. I just hope they don't go down the Nate Haskell road and turn this into a turd.

    Grade 'Unwrapped'

A very good episode. I enjoyed the plot twists, a bit different from the previous episode, which I liked for different reasons. My only query was why they chose to put out a trailer with Mac being shot, but declined to include it as a part of this episode, then carry it over to the finale. I...

No offense, but speaking as a male, Dana Delaney's legs are justification enough.
