My wish : Ellie to return one last time to have some closure about Brass / Ellie relationship. And for him to be in peace with himself about his daughter. To me at the end of his last episode Brass is going to be retired.

I don't think Crawford will be promoted Captain but he's just going to be the regular detective on cases. At one time, George said he'd like Nick to become a detective, so I guess Stokes is a possible choice to become Captain. Brass was the CSI before becoming Captain and Sofia was also CSI...

I can see Alimi Ballard (Crawford) being promoted series regular to replace Brass
