Would love Germany to win tonight. For me, Germany vs Holland in the final is a much bigger and better game than Spain vs Holland.

Oh what a shock, Sepp Blatter today apologised to England and to Mexico and said they'll discuss using technology. I'm not holding my breath that they'll bring it in but at least they're going to 'discuss' *insert sarcastic eye roll*

Totally agree. Sepp Blatter seems to be the only person who doesn't want the technology and it's holding back the sport. Either he should agree to the technology to advance the sport or he should step down because it's disgraceful that such things happen when we have the technology! Argentina...

Huge congrats to Germany, you were simply outstanding today. You outplayed and outclassed us and I would love to see you play Argentina in the next round. It would be fantastic football. England were a disgrace today and they fully deserved to lose. We're lucky it wasn't 7 or 8 goals because...

So pleased for Ghana. They thoroughly deserved to go through last night and you can tell it means the absolute world to them. They've got the expectations of an entire continent on their shoulders now and I would love for them to get to the final. If England can't/don't win it then I would love...

Congrats to Uruguay. It was a shame to see S.Korea go out, they had some good moments. I'm hoping for a Ghana win tonight!! Really looking forward to England vs Germany tomorrow now :D But still praying for NO penalty shootouts!!

Even so, when you consider what great footballing teams they are and the matches they've had in the past it should have been brilliant. From two absolute quality sides you have to expect more than they delivered today, especially at the World Cup.
