My problem with this is not that there's a romance but that there's never any character development for two of the main characters (Flack and Hawkes). We get plenty of development for Mac, Danny, and some for Stella and now Lindsay, but we've had hardly anything about Flack or Hawkes. Maybe...

We're going to get a Mac love interest, more Danny/Linday, undoubtedly more Danny drama (and more with his family?) and possibly something that could lead to a romance for Stella. I'd prefer to see some character development for Flack and Hawkes but it doesn't sound like there's anything planned...

I guess if the writers are hooking up Mac with Dr. Driscoll, still hinting at a future Danny/Lindsay, and planning on hooking Stella up with someone, I guess it's pretty certain there won't be any romance on the horizon for either Hawkes or Flack. Surely having 4 of the main characters involved...

But Zuiker didn't mention either Stella or Flack so I'm not getting my hopes up that we'll see a lot of either of their S2 stories being carried over into S3. The CSI franchise is good at dropping the ball with important story lines; I won't hold my breath in anticipation of watching either...

Finally read the Zuiker interview--sounds like he's really vested in promoting Lindsay as a viable character. Glad he's going to do more with Mac, too, but as a Flack-fan, I feel cheated that once again he's being kept in the background.
