well, technically, Ellie isn't close to the CSI family (or maybe I'm just really hoping they don't kill her off), neither is Brass' ex, and it was mentioned earlier that the whole main cast will be back for season 14. It could be a recurring character that dies.

I really hope you're right.....but we'll see what happens (whether or not they'll give Brass a storyline after the premiere involving Ellie and his ex and actually follow through with it) .... I've been wondering the same thing too after watching the finale.

at least that means they might not kill off Ellie.

Despite my low expectations, I'm still really hoping I'm wrong and season 14 becomes a step up in terms of quality, at least after the premiere.... Otherwise, I'm far from optimistic this time. Interesting they haven't posted any spoiler pictures yet, or is it usually too soon for that?

To be honest, after four years of the show being primarily focused on the newbies and Hodges ( even though Hodges is far from a new character, I'm also getting sick of him and his love life being in the limelight; I can't take Modges and the Elizabetta storyline is getting ridiculous:rolleyes:)...

according to the latest spoilers on CSIFiles, it seems like Teal Redmann doesn't want to return to the show, so maybe that won't be the case.....I guess that means....they might actually kill off Ellie :(:(:(; I really hope not though!!!

Based on the title, it seems like it might also be D.B. heavy. I'm trying, but I can't bring myself to be all that excited about the premiere. I would be glad that Sara's in the episode, but I have a strong feeling that she, Greg and Nick will be in the background, or just be underused somehow...

No argument there. I don't hate Hodges though, but I am getting tired of him and his story arc. season 12 (especially during the first half) was not only good, but it seemed to prove that the writers can balance out the cast- despite whatever new characters are added- in terms of screen time...
