Survivors can remain character's name, but doesn't have to. I'll suggest those, who are risen from their death will return as a new character, with new name, and new background. Something else that cross my mind is seeing Lola Glaudini (Criminal Minds) in a run of few episodes in CSI.

Unbelievable! Wendy Simms beat the most wanted Gil Grissom! :lol: It's fine by me. She too is a fimilar face in the CSI series, who has left for a short while. A comeback would be doable, if Liz didn't leave the show herself.

I too prefer not seeing Stella, but if Melina Kanakaredes insisted to leave, there's nothing to do about, hopefully the purpose of her departure is only taking a break, who knows Stella may return to New York as quickly as Eric Delko returned to Miami.

In view of crime series, I think this will survive a little bit longer. Think about Law & Order? It still not ended, through changes and cast members.... I think CSI can survive, if we too are focusing on the CSI as a tv show, instead focusing of the cast members, who are leaving or staying...
