Am I missing something - when is the season finale on in the UK. Its disappeared off my sky+ series link planner and its not on tv in its usual slot tonight. Have I missed it?

    Season 9 in the UK

Finally caught up with all those episodes on the sky + box. I forget the episode titles but it was a mixed bag I thought. The one with the business mans game, having seen the Michael Douglas film of the same name I guessed that it was all going to be a set up by the brother (identical to the...

    Season 9 in the UK

So Im about 3 episodes behind, but I just watched the courier murder / doll / drug smuggling episode. Definitely one of the weaker ones I thought. Was it me or was Frank squeezing his eyes tightly shut during the gun fight in the warehouse. Which incidentally was hilarious, Frank uses 2 clips...

    Lieutenant Megan Donner

Its unlikely she was missed by anyone so early in the show. I think the writers did the right thing is getting rid early, when it looked like it wasn't working. Its funny that as you watch the show chronologically it never suddenly hits you how glamorous its become. Its only when you jump...

    What Books Are You Reading?-#3

I recently finished a great book by Peter May called The Blackhouse. A murder mystery thriller with a detective investgating a murder in his hometown in Scotland, whilst also dealing with all the demons and problems of his childhood. A really good read.

The Last Movie You Saw - Thread 4

I saw the new Twillight movie, I hate to say it was not as bad as I expected to be honest.

    Elisabeth Shue Replaces Marg Helgenberger

Its certainly an interestIng choice, and whilst it may be a coup to get a named film actress I just wonder that she may not be in it for the long haul and go the same way as Laurence Fishburne did and not hang around too long. I've said before that CSI's strength is in its core characters and...

    Lieutenant Megan Donner

I think she didnt work at all, from the off she seemed ill at ease in the role. I dont think she convinced at all, in her delivery of the lines or her performance, whether thats down to her acting or the writers I don't know. But I thought that the character didn't gel at all with the other...

    Season 9 in the UK

I mentioned earlyon in this thread that horatios character has changed to be much more mean, however as the season has gone along he seems to have become closer to the edge of brutality. I find it quite a strange change in character direction. And I agree thus season has had more duffers than...

    Season 9 in the UK

I missed this episode - what happened? I enjoyed last nights, shades of the Van Damme movie Hard Target too. Horatio showed his meaner side (its been very common place in ths series) when he threatened to burn the guys hand.

    Season 9 in the UK

Theres been a big change I think in Horatio this series, he definitley seems more angry, more mean. I agree. maybe they are setting him up for something in season 10.

    Season 9 in the UK

The dream sequence was one of the best opening to any CSI episode IMO. Very strange and surreal and very different from the norm. Its a pity the episode went downhill after that with the actual storyline. I think this epsiode and the following one in the sugar mill were 2 stinkers back to back.

    Season 9 in the UK

Is no one watching it in the UK? I thought the last episode aired, the one with the explosion in the sugar factory, was one of the worst episodes ever. It seemed strange they would be in the investigating straight after the explosion. Horatio got involved in everything (as usual), even sorting...

    Season 9 in the UK

It looks like the writers had been watching the movie law abiding citizen before writing the prison break episode! Good stuff though and nice to see some familiar villains, even though they got away too easily again. Horatio is definitely coming across as much more mean and aggressive in this...

    Season 9 in the UK

The ending of episode 1 was a touch of a let down, especially re-using the dummy wire trick again which they'd used in a previous season, I forget which episode, but I'm sure it was in a vase on a table. It seemed to end too quickly as well for the bad guy, too easily caught, especially as he...

Replacements for LF & MH - Who would you like?

Thanks. I just read here in the UK on the BBC news site that Marg will be leaving at the end of season 12. Already I feel its a big blow to the show. I hope she gets a fitting exit (not a death either). As for a replacement, I arent familiar with many US actresses that you guys see in the US...

Replacements for LF & MH - Who would you like?

Where has it been confirmed that Marg will leave the show? Thats a big blow if thats the case (pardon the pun). Another original cast member going. I guess its part of the evolution of the show, but I hope it can continue to the same high standards. I just think its hard for new characters to...

CSI:NY Season 7 in the UK

I agree with this. I thought this whole series was extremely hit and miss. I believe the loss of Stella has really affected the show. To be honest I fully expected this last episode to be the final one for CSI NY, thats certainly how it seemed to be written with Danny potentially leaving to be a...
