Welcome to the newbies! :) I actually attended this forensic DNA talk last week and it was pretty informative! I mean, I'm not an expert or anything, but the talk was geared towards people who weren't experts in the field. Ahhh...it's great to experience real forensic science stuff! :D

Good deal...this will be a good thread for general science areas...thanks for mentioning the specific forensic science threads and I want to encourage anyone to post interesting articles and whatnot in there to open up discussions, as well as interesting articles and the like in this thread for...

Re: Have you ever dissected an animal? [like in biology clas I actually don't work in a forensic science lab; I don't want to say exactly where, but my work isn't directly related to forensic anthropology...more of like the effects that certain stuff can have on bones. :)

Aside from money, we could all go! Where there's a will, there's a way. But the first thing would be to find/have a CSI convention...

Maybe we can have a fundraiser of some sort...I'm strapped for cash as well, but if money wasn't an issue, I'd be there in a second!!! :) :D
