    Time of Death in CSI

Criminalist is right. Such an episode is season 3, episode 13 'Random Acts of Violence'. A little over 5 minutes in, Dave describes how he reaches T.O.D.: "Ambient here's about 65 degrees, which makes core temp drop roughly two degrees per hour. Figure he's been dead five to seven hours"...

Season 15 Spoiler Lab Discussion and Pics

You seem to be suffering from delusions of grandeur and vertigo by public opinion. You don't belong in this forum. You're either way underage or clearly someone who wants to harm this place. Edit: I apologise for dropping to this poster's level.

I neither know nor care about who you or your friends are, or whatever it is you do for a living, but you deserve to be banned for that comment.

    "The Greater Good" Discussion *Spoilers*

There have been episodes in season 15 that have made us hope for another season. This was not one of them. I didn't believe for a second that either D.B.'s daughter or Shaw would be harmed in any way. I didn't care about yet another one of D.B.'s relatives being in danger and neither found all...

    "Dead Woods" Discussion *Spoilers*

I didn't like a number of things in this one: - How Doc was so sure it was suicide just by describing his findings, which aren't unique to suicides anyway. Then they supposedly never analysed the evidence because of Doc’s ruling? I thought it was the team's job to make such decisions (at...

    "Dead Rails" Discussion

I don't know what on earth that was, other than a Morgan-centered episode, but it was below average. The regulars weren't used properly and Morgan took over. She's too different from the rest of them in every single way and I don't think I'll ever get used to her. We were supposed to recognise...

Season 15 Spoiler Lab Discussion and Pics

There seem to be hints here and there (both in this episode and Bad Blood) that Sara's reconsidering their separation/divorce and is sad about it, but they are so vague and open to interpretation that the writers could be just putting lines there to keep us happy (yep, still a GSR fan, love...

Season 15 Spoiler Lab Discussion and Pics

It's the best episode of the season so far and a must-see. It's definitely not an episode that can be skipped, unlike Buzz Kill for example. It's interesting, different and everyone involved with it did a great job. Why doesn't it have its own thread?

    "Buzz Kill" Discussion

Very weak and predictable episode, it almost felt like a filler. As for GSR, they clearly don't care about it anymore and have damaged it enough for many people not to care either.

    "Bad Blood" Discussion

I thought I'd find a comment on two here, but... I found it to be a decent episode. I don't remember another similar one with a virus. Good overall quality and teamwork. It's great to finally see Morgan with 50% less makeup on her, as she looks like a normal person now and is no longer...

    "The Book of Shadows" Discussion

It started off as a potentially reasonable case at a school, but very quickly turned into a 'halloween special' (and a poor one at that). Shame, because the direction and special effects were good, but the rest was more or less riduculous.

Grissom and Sara #36 A Love Story

Hey, new season, new... things to...talk about (not)! I'm having a significantly hard time concentrating enough to watch the first episode. I'm on my third try as I type. At some point Finn introduced herself as 'LVPD', started asking questions right away and just like that I lost interest in...

    What Books Are You Reading?-#3

“Letters from a Stoic” - Seneca The power and wealth which Seneca the Younger (c.4 B.C. - A.D. 65) acquired as Nero's minister were in conflict with his Stoic beliefs. Nevertheless he was the outstanding figure of his age. The Stoic philosophy which Seneca professed in his writings, later...

Season 15 Spoiler Lab Discussion and Pics

Oh, not a season-long DB & Finlay story... that's even worse than a serial killer with a twin brother and equally bad as Finlay's "new love interest". :shifty: Seriously, it's not that difficult to come up with something substantial and interesting, why do they make it seem as if it is?

Grissom and Sara #36 A Love Story

^ Just Greg moving from the lab to the field was a very interesting back story to follow and even if there's nothing extraordinary about the subject it was well-made and realistic. They've forgotten that each one is supposed to be an expert at something, or that they should leave clearing rooms...

    Debate/Dislike a Ship Thread -- CSI:Crime Scene Investigation, Part 2

Re: Debate/Dislike a Ship Thread -- CSI:Crime Scene Investigation, Par ^ “They're just shitting all over what they originally did right” <— This sums up the biggest mistake of all. Wanting to try new things and characters is one thing, but ruining the old ones (and for what?) is another...

    Debate/Dislike a Ship Thread -- CSI:Crime Scene Investigation, Part 2

Re: Debate/Dislike a Ship Thread -- CSI:Crime Scene Investigation, Par ^^ Did you manage to watch all the seasons? It's no easy task! Some episodes are impossible to sit through if you don't like the new characters. I'm at a point where I don't mind Finn anymore, but that mostly has to do with...

Grissom and Sara #36 A Love Story

^^ I've thought of that too. It's the same show but nothing resembles what we started watching it for. The stories are overly complicated (there's enough forensics going on in a single suicide, we don't need explosions), everyone acts like a cop (if we wanted a cop show we'd watch a cop show...

Season 15 Spoiler Lab Discussion and Pics

Re: Season 15 Spoiler Lab Discussion Even if she left because the show isn't what it used to be, I'm glad she's gone. It seems she was responsible for quite a few things going wrong in the last couple of years and now there's a chance, no matter small, to save something.

    Forensic sites

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but there's currently an 'Introduction to Forensic Science' MOOC offered by Coursera, which is extremely interesting. It's free and anyone can join. Just thought I'd share. :)
