I'd probably like to become a forensic engineer. im currently studying ballistics. The only problem, is that where I live (France) , you have to be a sworn officer, to be from the country (seeing as I'm english, it excludes me), and you get paid pennies...which I have ot sayd, put's me of a...

    The Dog & Pony Show

You always say firearms and never ballistics. On your site, you say they're different things, but I don't see how. I'm working on ballistics now, and I don't see how it differs.

    Gunshot residue detection GSR

cheers. i was testing for lead and barium on a window seal, but the tests are just not practicable in a university laboratry (or so they say anyway...) so I'm kind of growing desperate....

    Forensics Questions

Me and spelling...those two just don't go along...But there isn't that much diference with a puncture or a laceration. Ofen, a pen or (even if it's less likely) can also cause laceration. I always thought they were airly the same. Do you know the differences? (I guess it's in size measurement...

and csi maimi save the day again...Is it just me or is season 5 goin back to what season 1 used to be (one investigation, no, or not a lot of soapdrama), but whith a growing "ilportance" in the cases. Gunshot residue detection GSR

Help, I'm doing a big project on ballistics. One of my paragraph consists on detecting GSR. We were planning to ddo the sodium rhodizonate test but the laboratry doesn't have it and doesn't want to get it. I know there is also the morine test or the modified Griess test, but I don't think you...

Episode #507 'High Octane' ***CONTAINS SPOILERS***

It's just the way it was shot, it looked like H was looking at it, and the way he said "he can forget" It just seemed like a big allusion.

    CSI Terminology?

but what about the database. i know some countries share it with others (like in the EU, but that's a bit unusual). I'm pretty sure USA share it with Canada, I must have read it somewhere, but anywhere else that comes to your mind?

    Forensics Questions

I had a quick look in a few textbooks. The body is washed to remove the blood, but you wouldn't find any blood in the mouth (it would have been swallowed). What you said about compromising stomach contents doesn't matter, pouring water would only add water in the stomach, when in any case, there...
