    Grade 'Pay Up'

OMG!!! I knew I recognized that from somewhere! Its the same letter that the Admiral read in Saving Private Ryan, to convince the military it was worth it to rescue the last surviving Ryan brother!! I'm just making all kinds of SPR references today

    Mac Is TOO DAMN INSUFFERABLE!

Mac has bothered me in the past, but honestly I thought he was fine in the finale. His anger was justified...he was bent on trying to figure out who kidnapped Connor and killed a cop, and his prime suspect was standing in front of him dishing it right back. It was one of the few times this...

    Grade 'Pay Up'

If I remember correctly, Emmanuelle wanted out of the show. But correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not 100 percent sure...but I think she was the one who wanted to leave, not that they wanted her to.

Very good ep!!! The storyline was a good one...I have to say I figured it was Dunbrook right away when they said his son was going to testify against him, but I was glad to be proven wrong. His and Mac's relations at the end of the ep seem much more true to their original dynamic when we first...

    Grade "Grounds for Deception"

Agreed...the storyline was never very interesting to me, so either way this episode wasn't going to get more than a C or in very generous cases a B. I think it would have been a great twist if Kolovos had been killed during that little container stunt...Stella has to admit what she's done and...

    Grade "Grounds for Deception"

Okay....so twenty minutes in to the episode, I was already sick of the DL stuff. I figured they would bring in the baby, maybe for a couple scenes when Lindsay brought her into the lab, but to have her chilling in the lab like its a daycare center was just too much. Its interesting that she was...

    Grade 'Greater Good'

So I'm extremely late on this one...:p Overall I think I would give the episode a C. Honestly, it was downright predictable...and somewhat annoying in terms of how the case was dealt with. Yes, it was nice to see Mac getting more perspective and seeing things more than just black and white, and...

    Grade 'Yahrzeit'

A lot of soldiers that served in world war two were fairly young, though, like recently graduated from high school. It's entirely possible that Mac's father was only 18 or 20 in 1945. If he was born in 1960, it would only make his father about 35, which is even younger.

Why Lindsay Must Go, Part 4

I would agree with you there...if this thread was at this point three seasons ago. The fact is, I feel that the writers have had plenty of chances with her character (she was brought in during the second season and we are now in the fifth, thats three seasons or so) as did the actress, and I'm...

    Grade 'Yahrzeit'

If i remember correctly (i haven't taken German in a couple years), das messer means knife. That's the first thing I thought when I learned his last name was Messer

That's what I was waiting for, too. :( I'm glad that it was his father, though. After the episode, it kind of had to be :) I wish we would have been able to learn more about their relationship though before this episode. We knew that his father never liked to talk about Buchenwald or...

    Grade 'Yahrzeit'

Excellent episode. Two thumbs up.:thumbsup: There were so many things in this episode that I really loved, I really don't know where to start. For one, I LOVED Hawkes tonight. Hill Harper brought so much emotion to the character, and I did tear up a little bit when he was speaking...

Who had the best character development this season?

I think in overall development, I would pick Flack, with the bringing in of his sister as well as the new romance with Angell, we are really seeing a softer, brotherly side of Flack that we hadn't seen before....but there have been sooooo many moments for other characters that were just amazing...

Why Lindsay Must Go, Part 4

I think that is the problem....if she had been yelled at or actually treated like the rest of the cast is, and the writers acknowledged that she was being bratty and whiny and selfish, she would be more tolerable...it's really annoying, above anything else about her, that her behavior is...

Why Lindsay Must Go, Part 4

This is just a random thought I had when I was watching Friends the other day, the episode where Ross is having his wedding in London...in it, Phoebe isn't allowed to fly to London because she's pregnant....wouldn't that be the same for Lindsay with flying to Montana when she is about to pop out...

    What keeps you watching CSI:NY?

That's exactly why I watch too, I think. For me there are so many things the show has dropped the ball on, and so each week I tune in hoping they will pick it back up again...and I'm sure a lot of it is out of habit now, too: its wednesday, therefore I must watch CSI:NY. The characters are what...

Danny in a TV Guide Poll... *SPOILERS*

I voted that is was because he had gotten boring, but I do agree his death would be one of the more shocking (if not the MOST shocking) one to occur. But sadly, he is only a shadow of the Danny Messer from Seasons 1 and 2, and even though we've gotten brief glimpses of his old persona in the...

    Grade 'Prey'

All in all, I actually enjoyed this episode more than I have enjoyed other eps this season. The storyline was kind of intriguing, in the fact that it focus more on the emotional aspects of the crime, rather than the crime it self. Plus, I loved the continuity in it-from references past crimes...

Too much ship on the tv?

(wasn't there already a thread on this topic???) With NY is more the quality of the ships or romances that is really killing me. DL was a disaster from the start. Flack and Angell isn't bad, except for the fact that the first hint we get that they are dating is a makeout session after Flack...
