Season 8 *Spoiler Lab* Discussion - Part 2

Either way, I think Grissom decided that a flash flood warning at that moment probably wasn't incidental and that it was the only thing that the miniature was "missing", so adding that element was probably a key to the puzzle.

    CSI Jumping the Shark?

It's not that I think that there are few ways to avoid it, just that it is often easier to see (as a viewer) what would cross that line than to say, "Uh... yeah... making it good?" I mean, I can pick a handful of things that I think would cause them to tumble, but at the base of my argument, I...

Season 8 *Spoiler Lab* Discussion - Part 2

Are you forgetting every storyline Catherine has ever had? Yes, this stretched the bounds of believability, but the show has already set that standard many, many times in the past. The very conversation that Grissom and Catherine have about their personal lives conflicting with cases in the...

Season 8 *Spoiler Lab* Discussion - Part 2

Honestly, it annoys me more when the network makes one clip and just shows it again and again. I actually like that they're putting some effort in to - at the very least - give each clip a bit of unique footage. And in reality, if you don't want to watch them, you don't have to click on the links.

    CSI Jumping the Shark?

I think, though, honestly the believability of Grissom and Sara staying together or not wouldn't really be a shark jump. Plenty of shows have done very against-the-rules relationships in the workplace and it didn't cause a SJ. What it comes down to is whether it's good or not. Which is why...

Ratings: CSI vs ... Part 2

On Grey's fanboards, not here. Also critics. So much so that the creator of the show has decided not to do several storylines after angry fan outcries and has promised that this next year will be better. I'm a former fan of GA, so I still go on the boards now and then. ETA Also, if you take a...

    CSI Jumping the Shark?

Re: GSR, Miniature Killer, Sara in Peril: Jumping the Shark I'd love to see Sara showing some PTSD, and have Warrick or Nick there to help her out, but in truth, once Sara and Grissom have their big storyline, I wouldn't mind the relationship being put in the background in favor of giving...

Ratings: CSI vs ... Part 2

ETA - Made a mistake with the chart. CSI didn't gain 1 million from the fast nationals, it's actually down by a small fraction.

Ratings: CSI vs ... Part 2

Presidential Address took its toll, but they did wind up climbing nearly a million viewers in the final ratings. CSI came in 8th place behind the Emmys, 60 minutes, 2 football events, Without a Trace, Two and a Half Men and CSI:NY. 1) Happenstance - 13.792 million viewers 2) Living Legend -...

    CSI Jumping the Shark?

Re: GSR, Miniature Killer, Sara in Peril: Jumping the Shark The problem (and the confusing part) again is that CSI always gets more key demo people, always gets a far bigger audience, and is usually #1. So while yes - normally that is the truth, it still seems bizzare that in Canada - where...

    CSI Jumping the Shark?

Re: GSR, Miniature Killer, Sara in Peril: Jumping the Shark Honestly, in answer to your actual question, Raw Alex, I think that it could go either way. A lot of the answer lies in how they do follow-up whether or not Sara dies. CSI is notorious for just "forgetting" that major, career-altering...

Louise/Sofia: A Lady With Attitude Part IV

Take this for what you will, but Louise's name is not in the regulars or the guest stars list for episode 2 of Season 8.

Grissom & Sara #30: Pin Me Down...But Not With a Mustang

Re: Grissom & Sara #30: Pin Me Down...But Not With a Mustan *watching Butterflied* One scene that always makes me laugh: "Want me to come over and give you a hand?" "N-n-n-no I'm f-f-fine!" Heh. Dirty-minded, flustered Grissom.

Ratings: CSI vs ... Part 2

True. And with the level of animosity towards Grey's right now, I can't see them totally blowing CSI out of the water like they did last time, but I do think that they'll win the premiere match-up, and then slowly CSI will wind up overtaking them as it becomes clear that the show is officially...

Grissom & Sara #30: Pin Me Down...But Not With a Mustang

Re: Grissom & Sara #30: Pin Me Down...But Not With a Mustan I think Grissom in his fourties isn't aware of staring down the barrel at retirement the same way he might be a year later when he can feel that deadline growing closer. Combined with the shock of seeing her captured, along with...

Ratings: CSI vs ... Part 2

I'm not feeling terribly optimistic. I'd like to think that Season 7 will speak for itself and people will return, but I put 18 million, because I'm just sure that GA will pull something out of its ass that will make people have to watch OMGZ.

    CSI Jumping the Shark?

Re: GSR, Miniature Killer, Sara in Peril: Jumping the Shark CSI is consistently getting more viewers than Grey's Anatomy and is usually the number one show on Canadian TV. 8 is actually a much less competative time and will probably give CSI even more viewers.

    Season 8: Spoiler Picture Thread

I don't know if it's anything so formal as that. I mean, Brass has been a regular since Season 1, and he is frequently ommitted from promo shots. Technically Wallace Langham became a regular last year, but wasn't added to the title credits.
