The show just got some help from TVGuide's Ask Matt column: It would've been helpful to explain that NY only got 18 episodes this season and that's why the hiatus, but you can't have everything. He mentioned the return date and that's great!

I have nothing against petitions, but I think the main thing is getting it out that new episodes return 3/30/12. If people don't tune in to the remaining episodes the petitions mean nothing. Look at what happened to Jericho. They brought it back because of the massive campaign by fans, but...

If Mac's gonna be hanging between life and death I'm sure it'll be something cheesy like him telling Claire he wants to stay and be with her and Claire telling him he has to go back to his life. I really don't like episodes where they do crap like that. :rolleyes:

Good episode overall. I gave it a B. The Jo/Sid scenes were great and I really like that Mac had the cops go to Christine's restaurant. The DL scene was pure cliche based on their stereotyped city boy/country girl schtick, but it was short thank God. Hawkes is underused as usual, but Hill...

It still bugs me, too, but then it also still bugs me that the whole Ruben storyline was reduced to just a "bump in the road" for DL.

I think the original spoilers for the episode had her being the sister of his old Marine friend and then they changed it to being the sister of an old partner. Maybe the name never got changed on the IMDb site. :confused:

Exactly. They named Danny's daughter after the woman who shot and killed Ruben - and Danny's the one who thought of the name - so coming up with unique names is not their forte.

I'm pretty stingy with A's, but I gave this episode one. I really liked it. If I hadn't accidentally spoiled myself before I watched it this afternoon I would've been guessing at how things were going to play out. There were also some really good character moments as there have been the past...
