I never said there was anything wrong with what she did :rolleyes:, but I think acting like the show being cancelled was a big shock is a bit weird because if you're booking a pilot you obviously have to believe there's a chance your current show isn't coming back.

It must not have been too hard of a punch because she had signed on to do a pilot before the cancellation was announced.

Interesting reasons, though I still think Miami's budget had to have at least a little to do with it. Maybe being on an hour earlier will boost ratings, although putting a freshman show between NY and Blue Bloods could hurt them, too. I guess we'll see in the fall.

Saying that NY "won" renewal over Miami is not "bashing" Miami. It's stating a fact. NY was renewed and Miami wasn't so in a sense NY did "win." It doesn't speak to the quality of either show, just that one beat out the other for renewal. I haven't seen any NY fans doing any major gloating...

Two of the shows are still going and the other lasted 10 seasons. I'd say that's a lasting example of successful entertainment. ETA: I guess hooking up Mac with Christine wasn't the death knell for NY after all. :lol: :shifty:

The scene with Christine and Jo wasn't confusing to me. I really felt Jo was speaking about Mac as a good friend and colleague. The romantic side of it never crossed my mind especially with the interaction Jo and Christine had when Christine met the team before Lucy's bday party.

The only thing I'm seeing officially is that Miami is done. I'm not seeing anything confirming NY will be back. I personally think both S7 and S8 finales were really good and hope they come back for another season. And as long as they come back I can continue dreaming they will really kill off...
