I agree that despite TPTB's claims that being married to Lindsay magically made Danny mature, they haven't proven that in the show's canon. He may be boss material some day, but they'd have to show many more seasons of growth for that to be remotely believable.
As for S7 being a cliffhanger...
But the key here is Claire died as a result of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Any story line where she is alive 10 years later would be at the very least insensitive.
It's been 10 years. Claire is dead. Anything other than that scenario can be saved for badfic.
Danny is no longer on the promotional track to be head of the lab. Even if he was it would take years to attain that goal. Jo would be the next in line as far as staying within the core team, but...
He was involved with Peyton and while she was not a part of his "team" per se, they did have to work together on cases and things could've gotten hairy if either of them had to testify in a case and their relationship was public.
That's one of the reasons it's so completely ridiculous and...
Unless there's a series finale marriage it will be open ended. Just because the show ends with Mac and Christine together - if it does - that doesn't mean TPTB intended for them to be together until the end of time. It would just symbolize that Mac was finally ready to move on completely.
I...
I don't want - and I don't think TPTB would go there - for it to be a situation where Mac had feelings for Christine when he was married to Claire. There's no need for it and it would just tarnish the image of Mac/Claire that TPTB has been reinforcing for the entirety of the show's run.
Danny's non-reaction is what bugged me the most about Flack being injured. He and Danny were supposed to be close friends and Danny is a very emotional guy. Danny I could see completely freaking out about someone being seriously injured - especially Flack. And Mac too, really. In the early...
"Chemistry" is a relative word. I thought Mac and Stella had an amazing brother/sister type chemistry and not a romantic chemistry.
As for Christine, if the intention is for her to be a viable match for Mac it would make all the sense in the world for her to be in the finale. If it is the...
Just finished watching the episode. I liked it despite the case being pretty predictable. There were some good character moments and that always makes an episode with a so-so case better. Another solid B from me.
Yeah. I've seen bits and pieces of AGM and haven't been impressed. It's very nice that 2 million people are tuning in to NY even though they aren't watching the lead in.
Ratings for last night's episode from TVLine.com:
Another strong showing. Hopefully it will continue and influence CBS to take a serious look at giving NY one more season.
ETA: Here are the numbers for the lead in as a frame of reference:
