I can't help but get the feeling that all this will lead to a cliffhanger where Flack has the murderer at gunpoint and Almighty Mac is trying to convince him that killing is baaaaaaad.

Thanks for the welcome!:) Well, that's the thing, wasn't it a bit rushed of Flack to start packing his stuff? It would have sounded a bit like how Mac "I'm too good to be treated like this" would have reacted in the same situation. I had the idea that Flack had more trust in the system.
