    Hello, ladies! How are you?
Yes, Of Mise and Men is the wondeful book. I like Steinbeck and think, Gary would be great as Doc (it's a character from anothers Steinbeck's books - "Cannery Row" and "Sweet Thursday"). King's Stand is nice too, I like the movie, but always thought, that Fran could be more beautiful (cause she's Gary gilrfriend)
Gary's song? Still can't make a choise - maybe something from U2 (adore U2!)...don't know

    anyone seen this intervieuw?

AP writer, Ivan Moreno recently spoke to Gary about the band's recent show in Denver and his favorite song. Below is a snippet from version of Moreno's piece that ran in the Chicago Tribune (on-line) on 08/08:

"CSI: New York" star Gary Sinise was the scheduled headliner for a free concert at Denver's Civic Center Park for an event aimed at bringing attention to renovation efforts there.

Sinise said the recent renovation of Millennium Park in Chicago, where he is from, inspired him to want to play the concert Saturday for the nonprofit Civic Center Conservancy.

"When they asked me to be a part of this, I jumped on it," Sinise said.

Local band Opie Gone Bad was opening for Sinise's Lt. Dan Band, named after the character in the movie "Forrest Gump" that earned him an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor.

Sinise's band does mostly covers, including songs from Aretha Franklin and Linkin Park. Sinise, who plays bass, is hesitant to pick a favorite, though.

"Oh, gosh, there's a lot of songs that I like. There's about 60 songs that we do. We play everything from pop, rock, soul, country, Motown," he said. "It's kind of all over the map. It'd be hard to pick one."

A song he would pick as one of his favorites, Sinise said, would be "Another Star" by Stevie Wonder.

"I've played in Denver before. I love the city," said Sinise, who last played last year at a fundraiser for National Jewish Health, an acclaimed respiratory hospital.

^^^ ooh cool, thanks!! i've just noticed - HOW high does he play his bass?! blimey. you can really tell what musical era a bassist comes from if you look at how high their bass is. his is very high! i've always been more of a low slung bass girl meself but i'm sure i could make an exception just this once... ;)

i also thought he'd do quite a good job of ethan from the winter of our discontent - i always like when he plays slightly bitter, cynical characters (for instance in that championship season where he's so bitter and cynical (and drunk!) that he reminded me of me!), and i think he'd be good at ethan who is that but also puts on a front of being totally normal and happy. i think he'd do it really well :)

    gary + steinbeck = happy me :)

i forgot in that paragraph - the other good thing is it means my email address is xxxxxx@mac.com - the perfect email address?!

ps thanks for all those pics folks - aceness! especially this:

LOL! Oh, I wish I could be that girl, his friend, his wife, his dog, his cat, his driver if he has any ... LOL

By the way, guys, the pictures are fantastic! :D Udonna will have a blast when she sees them after her holidays lol And for some reason, the more I'm interested in Sinise, the more I can see how Giovinazzo gets inspired by him in so many ways... or I'm just seeing things I want to see

Lisa!!! I'll definitively read the books you suggested! I hope they'll be on the shelves at my library or someone will not be in a happy mood... lol

Hahaha, maybe we can start an online petition. Ask Perez Hilton to support us on his blog. Make a trend topic on Twitter, create a group on Facebook... there's just so many options for us

Oh, I'm with you on Benefit! Though the M-A-C eyeshadows are simply amazing. I liked all the pretty colors Davey Havok was sporting for the Decemberunderground tour.

And indeed Mac is like Mac Taylor  Now, do you think there's a relativity between the 24" screen and ... :guffaw:

LMAO! Ohhhh I think I know what it is!!!

Funny you asked because I'm currently reading the Unabridged version of The Stand :D It's absolutly amazing and captivating. There's also a lot of good theories about human kind. On the back cover of the book, there's a picture of King and every time I'm reading when I'm on the bus or whatever, people are scared as hell when they see his face  they just stare like "Whoh. This man looks like a zombie :wtf:" Same thing happened with Cell!

LMAO! Brains and hormones! Geez! And the song combined with the pictures... ou là là! LOL

she really will - she might just collapse from the shock of it all! i'm away for two weeks after this weekend, i'm almost looking forward to what i'll find here when i get back more than my holiday:lol::lol:

    good luck!

maybe hill could help with his twitter!? i'm sure he wouldn't mind helping a bunch of lovely ladies get what they want....

i'm not a fan of any big fancy cosmetic companies' eyeshadows - the colours are far too natural and not bright enough! i like these: http://www.barrym.com/products/product.asp?id=77 (i have to do bright colours; pink or purple hair, pink nails, bright blue eyeliner etc - i would be epic fail at goth, although i did try once).

    i'm sure there is somewhere....

haha, let's just say that twitter story might just come in handy....:guffaw::guffaw:

i'm not so sure about the stand - it may be because i stupidly watched the entire thing in one sitting (note to self: never again) but also i find the overtly religious tone of it really irritating. i'm all for good vs evil horror story type stuff but really, do we have to bring the bible into everything?

Well, Mac has those kind of colors and pigments, and as for lasting on the eyelids for hours, they do lol. Or they have limited collection sales (like the Barbie Collection). I also like NYX Cosmetics for very transvestite colors LOL extremely flashy, glamorous! I like MOSH for their glitters. But I rarely look for a brand when I buy cosmetics, more of what I can get out of a product, doesn't matter who made it, as long as it is wonderful and fabulous (AND last for hours) lol XD Anyway, I couldn't care less for bands for about anything in the world, they really don't define shit to me lol Could be Vuitton on it, if it's crap, it's crap.

Oh, I think we know where  LOL Now, I wonder if Sinise Guard specialise in particular sizes...:guffaw:

Never watched the entire The Stand movie, only a few minutes to watch Gary Sinise as Stu lol But I'm never thrilled about movie adaptation of books. Generally I prefer to avoid them... The book is more half and half about the religious tone. Overall, it comes down to what is the right thing to do, what is good and what is bad, not necessarily in the eyes of God and whatnot. When the human race is almost gone with all the structures of society, how one does reconcile with what's right and what's wrong after shock and trauma, and you definitively don't want to make the same mistakes human kind did in the past so how to achieve that to really try to make a better world for the survivors? That's how I see it, mostly. Then, of course, fanatics are everywhere specially with situations like that lol It was kinda hard to ignore these individuals. I don't know how it was played out in the movie, but in the book it's not overly religious with the Bible everywhere. My favorite characters are definitively Glen Bateman, The Kid (Do you believe that happy crappy? Don't tell me, I'll tell ya), Tom Cullen (My laws! Didn't it just! M-O-O-N that spells...) and Leo/Joe. :D

And because we're talking about The Stand.. some pictures of Gary as Stu!!! He's not how I pictured Stu but I won't complain

brands are for cattle! i have bought expensive stuff and it's been crap in the past, if a cheap one does as good a job why pay extra? i've never seen those colours in mac - i think i've seen something approaching those colours in mac/spacenk and the like, but i always end up thinking they look too muted in those stores. for some reason the more expensive brands seem to think everyone wants to look normal:lol: most of my make up is pretty cheap because it's aimed at teenagers who everyone knows want to glam up a bit. although i did get an incredible electric blue mascara in paris - i wanted the purple but they'd sold out :(

i think they'd have to, because he'd have to do the testing himself:guffaw: i actually tweeted the original tweeter as my friend and i were discussing the project and took it to a whole new level. we have officially volunteered ourselves for the R&D.....

yeah, that sounds fine to me, but omg the film was so blatant. i hate religious stuff at the best of times, i didn't want to sit through that just to get a bit of stu!

    A
having never read it he's exactly how i pictured him  he did look very nice in it. this is my favourite stand pic (who cares that i only posted it a couple of days ago, let's have it again)

i do love that line about government sonsofbitches in spacesuits as well - always makes me smile :)

Hahaha, yeah , why pay 20$ if it's going to be the exact same color of your eyelids!!! Doesn't make sense to me -- just don't wear the freakin' makeup *facepalms*

Oh, electric blue mascara! Pweetty! Are you eyes blue? Just trying to imagine kick-ass londoner Lisa Simpson with blue mascara XD

I had once an electric pink mascara from Lancôme. Hated the price but it was da shit lol and I think the best colors are for the cosmetics aimed for young people too XD sometimes I have found the pretty colors in those cheap transparent cosmetic bags you can find at the drug store  I even used the nail polish to color my hoodie LOL

LMAO! Man, if he does the testing himself, I want to be in the lab to "supervised" the testing

    R&D?

LOL, oh, I feel your pain! I hate it when it gets all religious sickening too. That's why I had problems reading Mother Abigail's chapters. Though it's interesting that she's more bitter than sweet about her religion, considering where she comes from and the values of her time.

I watched the part where they're sitting in a house, probably Boulder for the ad hoc or something, and then they were in a church and Stephen King did a cameo in that scene.. I don't know if you remember that part lol but that's the only thing I watched of the movie

Hahaha, I pictured Stu to be very less attrative than Gary :guffaw::guffaw:Now I can understand why Fran had a thing for him, LMAO!

Oh, me too! Stu had some good lines!!! Was The Kid in the movie?

nope, my eyes are green - like gary's i think, i'm convinced he has green eyes, although it seems to be up for debate! see, i'm trying to keep this make up discussion vaguely on topic! i liked that he wore eyeliner (i think anyway) in mission to mars. men in eyeliner = happy me.

    exhibit a:

not so sure about that hair tho...

i usually have bright blue eyeliner & mascara, with some pink and blue eyeshadow. i was more extreme in the past - like this (i'm on the right):

omg *wants* my favourite nail colour is charisma by zoya (it's under google images) - it's gorgeous and no one else seems to have it. haha this is fast turning into a girlie make up discussion!

research & development - ie product testing and making changes based on the results. you can stay in the lab and supervise all you want, i want to be an official tester :p

i didn't think she was that bitter - maybe a bit but not that much. she kind of annoyed me. they really played up the other guy being "the devil" as well which seemed ever so slightly pedestrian. dear screenwriters: it's meant to be an allegory, you really don't need to be that obvious!

i do remember it. i don't watch a lot of it these days, i fast forward most of it. i like the bit in the CDC centre the best - gary looks great in t shirt and tracks :D

so basically you pictured him being played by just about anyone else in the world?:guffaw:;):guffaw:

i think so, it rings a bell...
