I don't recall Carmine saying we were fussing over nothing. He seemed surprised that people were talking about Danny's lack of glasses. They've been a part of Danny since NY began. I feel we have a right to address the issue and state our opinions on missing them and wanting them back. I also don't feel we are fussing over nothing..It's a bit insulting to assume everybody in this thread is. I do admit that I've always associated the glasses with Danny and no glasses with Carmine. Apparently when it comes to lab chemicals tptb are choosing to ignore they are a no-no for contacts as well as pregnancies.

^That specific response of his was more a joke about the "big controversy" being Danny's glasses and not the pregnancy. It was a bit of joking; I don't think he was surprised people noticed the change. "You are fussing over nothing" isn't the most constructive way to post, CSINEWYORK000. I'm getting kind of tired of having to make this comment to you; next time, you'll be getting an official warning.
I definitely wouldn't say that Danny's glasses are nothing. Obviously this prop means something to Carmine. From the way he described it in the interview, it seemed like the glasses were important to the character and how Carmine interprets the character. So he removed them in order to approach the character in another way. It's not just fashion, it's a new direction for a character we all love. I personally am excited to see where it goes. But that might just be me.
I think his glasses were what made him Danny.. It will be sad not to see his mannerisms like when he pushed the galsses at the nose bar bit..
I find Danny less appealing without the glasses. I went out and bought a TV Guide to drool over and found myself with dry-mouth. The glasses need to return.
you may think that it is silly that we talk so much about danny glasses but it is a big part of his charcter he just not danny whith out the glasses so carmine please but back the glasses and drop the contacts
I agree! The fact that it's missing...maybe Danny's personality went with it! That's why we're swamped with crappy scenes with Lindsay! It pretty much define a part of Danny's character.
I found my mom watching "Forbidden Fruit" today - one of the first things she said when I came in the room is how weird Danny looked without his glasses. She seemed kind of distracted by it. :lol: (She can't remember which characters are on which series in the franchise sometimes, but she noticed that. )

I stupidly voted before reading all your posts and looking at some of your profile pictures and I thought Danny without glasses just couldn't be until I looked at the profile pictures and Danny without glasses is actually one more tasty dish than I thought it would be!
