Well, darnit, I just typed this incredible post and now it's gone .. guess I'll try to recreate it ...

My darling husband put our kids to bed tonite so I could veg in front of the TV. I watched some of the CSI eps I've DVRd off SPIKE this summer and I'm now feeling very optimistic about the GSR conclusion in the upcoming season. While they may tease us mercilessly, TPTB have given us some lovely GSR moments. From Bloodlines all the way up until GBaGL, there have been these sweet peeks into their relationship and when I think of all the thought, time, and work that's been put into GSR over the years, I think they'll do right by our couple in the end. I'm not saying there won't be drama first, mind you, but watching scenes from some of the season 5, 6, and 7 episodes ... not to mention the ones I saw this past year in early season 8 ...

So for those of you feeling down about some of the spoilers that are appearing here and there, keep the faith by watching the GSR clips in Snakes, Committed, Grave Danger (tell me he's not flirting when he talks about Trigger!), KKBB, TOYD, DLG, WTG, all of the wonderful season 7 stuff .... LD ("the only person I've ever loved"), Sara's letter in GBaGL ("my one and only"). What's the point of all that if we don't have a happy ending eventually?

ah and i just turned on the TV and Dead Doll is on CTV! what a coincydink. i too have been watching alot of previous gsr-y episodes, they really do help.
especially The Case Of The Cross-Dessing Carp and Goodbye and Good Luck - it was sad at the time but lovely to watch now, for some reason

Yay! I'm liking all of the positivity on here. I have a cool tid-bit of info that has nothing to do with the show, so you spoiler-free peeps can read.

Last week, I was driving through a small city near where I live, and two street signs caught my attention. The first one read Gilbert and the second one read Sarah. Now, I know Jorja's character is Sara without the "h", but I just thought that it was cool they were right beside each other. It's a sign! They'll be together in the end! :lol:

Now onto another topic:

I know we've been talking about some things Billy has said in the past about Gris and LH; sometimes I wonder if the writers and producers of tv shows influence the way actors answer questions about storylines. Although actors do have their own opinions, I'm wondering if the writers and producers spin it to draw more attention to their show. What do you guys think?

If this is true, Billy may not like LH as much as he says he does.

 

AMEN, and that's exactly what my daughter said, it's about ratings, and the buzz on this is hugh, sooo, Billy also said that "Sara will be featured in the "arc" of his leaving, very discreet, and not letting much out, that's way off in S/9 2009, but the only relationship he's ever had is with Sara, he's a slow, methodical, disciplined man, and doesn't make hasty decisions, it took him 9 years to propose to Sara, and he won't jeopardize that for anyone:thumbsup: so I guess what amuses me or baffles me the most is the "G/LH relationship banter".. so silly:lol:, they've seen each other 4 times in 8 years. what or who has a "relationship" like that:rommie:UH, no one

 

Just remember, when you've written a really great, in depth post, copy it before you try to post it; just in case.

Now these are my relatively spoiler-free ideas on the coming season....

I'm sure TPTB are going to put Grissom through the wringer before we get to episode ten. I expect we're in for tons of angst and worry. Maybe even more characters in peril. We're going to have Warrick's demise, presumably the case to find his shooter, the return of both Natalie and LH, as well as several eps involving Sara. Then, I'd expect them to introduce the new actor a few episodes before WP leaves, so that we can grow to like him and not jump ship when ep 11 rolls around.

It's going to be eventful, but I can't imagine that they won't leave GSR intact in the end of it all. I would expect TPTB will leave it open for JF to guest star as well as WP. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Warrick lives so they can have GD guest star as well.

 

Whatever happens, it'll be interesting. And I'm guessing if Warrick lives, it'll be coma.

And guys, pertaining to my GSR novela, I've had to drop it. However, I've had another novela idea pop into my mind...and GSR fits for it. Don't worry; no adaptation, complete originality.

 

WOW, this is even on TV on ET and TMZ, it's everywhere, so sorry non-spoilers and I hope with all my heart that Warrick is alive and well, there's talk about that on the S/9 *spoiler* thread, I saw "EE" again tonight Jorja's acting riveting, that freak who attacked her, and her "I held his hand like I held hers":thumbsup: we've go the "keep the faith" as always, and we all know who loves who~

 

well sod the kippers and give me that darn shot of tequila!! i go away for a couple of days to play a gig and all insanity breaks loose - what is up with that?!?! looks like the CSI buzz is really building up nicely though and let's face it, we know from last summer how good TPTB are at building up the buzz (wasn't DD one of the most watched epis of CSI ever or something??).

I totally agree with you seattle that they are going to run Grissom around like mad before the exit - it's got to be an ending with a bang and we knooow they like angsty exits (oh dear...) - I mean look at Sara and Warrick's 'endings'! But if they have their heads screwed on even slightly the right way around they will realise that they can't push it too far - if they destroy the G and the S then a huge stack of fans will throw in the towel... I mean loads of people are holding on by a thread (no pun intended ) as it is after Sara's exit in S8.

And, well, my personal opinion is that they've held it together this long and made our ship canon and lead us in a good direction overall so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that aliens won't land in their heads and blow it all to pieces

I'm holding out for a shock-filled, spoiler-free (I'm taking the Green paintballs thanks seattle :evil:), incredible S9 for this fabulous show and our favourite couple. And all I want for Christmas - please dear Santa - is a happy little GSR ending for our two geeks :rommie:

I love that this show has kept this SHIP going and taken it to the pinnacle of where it's at now, and Grissom took along time to choose what is his heart & soul, SARA, no one else captured that, he's a complicated guy but Sara brought out the true mystery of this science geek, to the romantic peak of who he really is:bolian:and he offered her a life with him, so now that she's returning nothing but green lights & blue skies and for them and all of us way back in the 1st and 2nd season, the only woman who ever really captured his interest, was Terri Mller, talk about classy and beautiful, and they had many things in common, but alas she didn't stick it out with him and bailed when he had to leave to go to a crime scene, where as Sara, did leave, but for a different reason, to heal and be better for him and now, and they've always been in touch, so the ending of this but they will return for "guest spots" will be hopefully marriage and possible geek babies:wtf:

I have gathered from the non spoiler bits and pieces that TPTB are trying to mess with our heads about Gil and LH again. I have decided that he should see her. Don't get mad Desert, let me explain. He does consider her a friend. He does want her to be ok. And since we are sure he is going off with Sara, I would assume he would want to tell her in person. I would also not put it past Brass to take him there as a joke for his bachelor party. I could see him playing chess with LH, which he would prefer to the usual stripper and porn. I can't see him wanting that kind of party.

That's just my idea anyway, but I haven't read the news or spoilers so I don't really know what's going on. I have amost run out of green paint Seatte. Can I use Magenta or Orange?

And for their geek babies, I say twins, William and Marie.

 

I won't get mad, bengali13 I could give a ratts a.. about who ever comes on "briefly" for whatever reason, this relationship is so strong "it could burn through steel", and no one can ever come between them...... back to basics GSR, [although it did throw some off for a bit], no matter and babies it is.. ..I think that LH will come back for Griss but he will turn her down because he loves his Sara, and there's no one in the world he would rather be with.

on CSI it's always darkest before dawn riight? and in a way that's how i want it to be, i want us to get doubtful and get completely involved in this haze and then BAM amazing episode and were good again :bolian:all the actors are on a strict contract and cannot disclose anything regarding upcoming episodes, so they just try and get us hyped up on absolutely everything that they can use to sidetrack us so first: we want to watch and second: we dont know the episode before it airs, i think that they're leading us in a direction thats not necessarily false but leading us to thinking something else...if that makes any sense and we're not airing until Oct. 9th this year? GAH! way too long!! i'm having trouble waiting for Sept. 1st for One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl
