    Re: Who Should Replace Grissom???

I think "replace" wasn't really the intended idea. No one can replace Grissom; to even try would be suicidal on the part of TPTB. Although I liked Grissom, I began to lose respect for him during the past few seasons because I felt the character was a hypocrite. He would criticize subordinates for the same kind of personal activities in which he himself was partaking. I really hope they will bring in someone who is strong, but otherwise very unlike Grissom. Like I said in the other thread, I really like Lance Henriksen, mainly because his Frank Black character, unlike Grissom, understood exactly what was going on in the minds of coworkers - motivations, probable actions, emotions - but he stayed uninvolved as long as he could. And he seemed to understand how to interact, socially, when it was appropriate. I think I could also see Mary McDonnell in the role for similar reasons.

This is interesting news on someone from the past who will return to direct~

on here is states that William Friedkin will direct the 200th episode of CSI, and Billy possibly will return for this in some capacity, and the continuing romantic arch of Sara and him..http://www.yahoo.com/

Gil Grissom could never be replaced but for a new supervisor I would have to go with Kurt Russell...it would be cool if they could bring in Bruce Willis...lol

Edward James Olmos will be available soon. He'd be my pick.

Those are fake episode titles, his final episode hasn't been filmed yet.

I'll put these in the *spoiler* boxes for safety sake, and here's another site with the exact same titles~and William Petersen is done filming, for now... he's in New York was at the All-Star baseball games!

He is not done filming his episodes. They show is on hiatus right now. They filmed episodes 1-4 until the end of June and taking July and August off.

Normally, they take May and June off and start filming again in mid-July, but the writer's strike changed that.

They will probably start filming episode 5 and beyond in September.

Sorry! I didn't mean replace. I meant, well, fill his position. They're definitely going to bring someone big in. I don't think it'll be someone older. Those advertisers like youth. Too bad Gary Sinese is already in NY. He'd a been good. I like the Scott Bakula idea.

But they're the ones that have the best personalities, though.

It would be tough thinking of a replacement for Gil...such characters are irreplacable, IMO.

Re: Petersen leaves CSI for good

I am really gutted that Billy is leaving CSI. Make no mistake about that. However, he isn't really leaving is he? He will still have production rights, I'm sure he will be involved in storylines and higher and firing. He always has done. He is just stepping behind the camera to do other projects.

He is an actor and will have loads of new characters waiting to break free, which have been confined by Grissom - as beutifully intense and sexy as he is!

He will be around and I look forward to seeing him on the London Stage!

    Re: Who Should Replace Grissom???

Personally I think that Catherine will be given the role of Graveshift supervisor, after all, she does have almost as much experience as Gil did and has already been swing shift supervisor, I think that she would be the most logical replacement for him...
