OK guys, I know everyone is upset with the news about Rikki but this is still the Danny/Lindsay thread and the major topic of discussion needs to be about them. You are more than welcome to talk about Rikki but only if it doesn't overshadow the talk about your ship.

Okay, I know that DL are not real people, but, the only way I can look at her return is an aid to getting DL back on track. Anything else would break this shippers heart. CSI NY is a crime show about the crimes and lives of the CSI NY Crime Lab not a soap opera.

DL have not had a chance to clear the air and sort out their feelings for each other. Maybe with her return they will be able to move on, it could be that Lindsay needs to speak to her before she can be with Danny.

DL have so much going for each other, they deserve to be together. Pleeeeaaaassssseeeee let us have some DL Fluff in season 5.

Good morning everyone! or good evening, or whatever.

Oh, nice question. In my fics they had a lot of kids, both girls and boys. But none of them had a real meaning, I only used the names that just popped into my mind. So how would they call their kids? I read several fics where they named a girl 'Kelly', because one of Lindsay's friends had this name. I think, this is a nice idea, and I like the name. But I have no idea how to name a boy. When you wrote your story please tell us, I love DL family fanfics!

I really wonder how it'd be if they had kids. I don't want to see that in the show, because, I don't know, it wouldn't really fit in my eyes. But I love to read in fanfics about that, or discuss about it. Do you think they'd move, maybe into a house, or do you think they'd stay in an apartment in the city or so?

Well, I think we really shouldn't freak out about that. Okay, lets say she really appears in season 5, actually this means nothing. Rikki could also be in a flashback. This could even be good for us. Most of us want that Danny finally admits what he did. Maybe Lindsay gives him the chance to talk, and he tells her what he and Rikki did, and how it happened. And maybe we'll get a flashback with the two and see how it happened, or why. Then she'd appear as a guest star, the problem is finally solved, Lindsay knows everything. Her return doesn't mean she'll cause new drama, because I don't think the writers would use her for that again. This would be mean. And wouldn't make sense after 4.19, when Danny told her it was a mistake, she said she'd move and they said good-bye. For me this was the end of the story. And her coming back, being pregnant? That would be stupid, and even after 4.16 I can't see them doing that.

Okay, that's my post for now. And don't forget: FLUFFY THOUGHTS! We got so many angst last season, lets cheer each other up a bit. Maybe with some nice fanfics?

Although this is an Anna article and doesn't really say much at all about D/L I still found it interesting. She talks about Lindsay being intrigued by Danny in that they are polar opposites and the fact that she loves him. But, she also says that there's big trouble at the moment and that it takes them off track for a while.

I guess I'm a little intrigued about the 'for a while'. It could be just a turn of phrase or it could be what some of us hoped all along in that whatever S4 threw at them it would ultimately bring about a deepening of their relationship. I may be clutching at straws because she's hardly going to say they're off track for good at this stage but I thought under the circumstances of the past day or so it may give D/L shippers a little hope.

Interesting article Jellybelly! I am not nearly as worried now strangely enough! I was really bummed by the recent news but this brings me up a little. I was just starting to really feel a lot better about Danny and Lindsay! I think the season will start off with angst, then by the middle of the season things will start to look up. Or I could just be looking too much into things...

I remain optimistic, I can see these two getting back on track. There was a hurdle and we all went a little squiffy, for want of a better word, but we dealt with it like mature adults. Ok, hysterical teenagers! Still, it didn't go down the route of Danny acting like a moron and telling Lindsay he never wants to see her again. Quite the opposite, the intent of fixing whatever (will you just confirm what the heck is going on?!) they had was displayed with his pleading phone call. Not the actions of a man wanting to put an end to DL, cause Lindsay already did that! :lol:

Guys, I could be wrong but to me, that quote seems in reference to Season 4, which could just be airing in Asia - it looks like it could be an Asian site, therefore the lack of elaborating may just be to hide the fact that this 'rough patch' is the (debateable) cheating incident yet to be aired over there?
That's just my take, but I think it is still positive in the sense, hey we've seen the worst of it! :lol:

bit of a dramatic title, don't ya think? :lol: As LME said in 8 ball, there is the possibility that her return is in relation to the trial of the psychotic blonde chick who killed an innocent 10 year old. Here's hoping that we are getting some actual closure for all involved.

Now for some fluff, we should really have Danny go meet Lindsay whilst on one of her now famous 'rain walks'. In fact forget fluff, they should just have it out a'la Naley in the rain. Open your minds to the gutter shipmates, if there are no jackets involved we may get treated to a little SMM shirt porn. I'm seeing angst, give way to affectionate pushing wet curls back from her forehead with a genuine 'I'm sorry', her kick his ass then walking home hand in hand for a game of pool. *sighs*

I did love the rain walk scene because they were almost finishing each other sentences it was like i know how you feel i know whats going on and in my head its like "wow and its taken you how long for you both to realise"

Funny thing is i can always picture Danny as the type of bf to forget birthdays or big events and then once in a blue moon when he does remember without being reminded he does it with style.

Actually, knowing what has come since the whole fogetting birthday thing has me a little intrigued. I'm sure it was just put there to make it clear that all was not good between. But, in reality if D/L had had nothing to do with each other outside of work then it is a little odd that lindsay chose that as an issue. Why didn't she just say 'I'm here, why are you pushing me away?'

Now my thoughts are that to have her address the pushing away thing at that point would have been a little too up front and emotionally honest for her. The birthday was a good talking point to try and get through to him but in reality I wonder if it just pushed him away all the more.

It was actually several weeks later that she finally got up the emotional honesty to confront him and look what happened there. I know it's unclear whether what went on with D/R was just a 2 time deal or longer but certainly Danny finally saw it as wrong only once he knew how Lindsay felt. I wonder if she had been able to be more honest before then whether he might not have turned to Rikki in the first place. I also wonder if he didn't believe she was there for him and maybe she couldn't handle it.

Good point! Perhaps it was indeed her way of trying to get it through to him that his actions hurt her, and this was her way of telling him that without having to spill out her guts...And I think you may be correct in assuming that it perhaps made the gap between them even bigger - Danny never heard from her what she tought of their relationship; she never talked about her feelings (that we know of) and now suddenly she gets all emotional about something as futile -in his opinion- as forgetting a birthday. It gave him an excuse (for himself) that what he was doing was not so bad...still lying to himself though...

Well maybe you don't consider it a spoiler, but putting words like UPSET, NEWS and RIKKI in one sentence, to me clearly indicates that she for some reason is not out of the picture...

And unfortunately the writers made it so that now Rikki is more or less 'connected' to D/L...If she will be a recurring character (which I doubt at the moment - more later) than it will be highly likely that she, again, will have an effect on what is going on between Danny and Lindsay

Spoiler: Start of season 5

After my initial freak-out session (as some know ), I now agree with Brinchen...It sounds the most plausible that she will be there either in flashbacks or perhaps because we will get to see the trial, but either way I (now ) think it will be to help D/L move along instead of creating more drama and chaos...

Most likely she will be just in the premiere and that news is on her website because it's great PR to be able to say that you were not just in one, but in two season of a rather popular show.
