    Awww that's really sad Roy Scheider died. I loved him in Sea Quest DSV and Jaws. May he RIP and his family be able to greeve in peace.

    Very sad :(, a calm, sweet, easy going guy, and a good actor and who didn't enjoy him in "JAWS" and "All That Jazz" and "The French Connection"? very versatile!.. I just read about this in my paper..way to young, may he RIP!

    I was shocked to hear about Roy Scheider. I loved him in Jaws,
    that's one of my favorite movies.

    I was also sad to hear of RS death. Liked him in Jaws but really loved him in Seaquest DSV. That show was awesome & hated that he left it so abruptly & never knew why. He'll be missed.

    I liked Roy Scheider too. Very sad at this news. My favourite film of his though was the relatively unknown "The Seven-Ups" - it was billed as another follow on from "The French Connection", and I have to say that I thought the car chase in "The Seven Ups" outstrips the one in "The French Connection" by a mile. I actually jumped at the end of it.

    RIP Roy and sympathies to your family.

    Cleveland sports writer Chuck Heaton dead at 90
    February 14, 2008

    CLEVELAND (AP) -- Chuck Heaton, a prolific columnist and Cleveland Browns writer in his 60 years at The Plain Dealer, died Thursday. He was 90.

    Heaton, who retired in 1993, was the father of actress Patricia Heaton, who played Ray Romano's wife on the TV series "Everybody Loves Raymond."

    He died at Harborside Health Care Center in suburban Westlake after a short bout with pneumonia.

    Howard the Duck Creater Gerber Dies

    LAS VEGAS (AP) - Steve Gerber, the comic book writer and creator whose signature character was the alienated, cigar-chomping Howard the Duck, has died. He was 60. Gerber, who also co-created Marvel's "Omega the Unknown" and created the 1980s animated series "Thundarr the Barbarian," suffered from pulmonary fibrosis.

    He died Sunday in a Las Vegas hospital from complications related to the disease, said Mary Skrenes, a friend and writing partner on "Omega" and other comics.

    Writer Richard Baer dies at 79

    Scribe wrote for more than 56 TV shows

    By VARIETY STAFF

    Emmy-nommed writer Richard Baer, who wrote for TV shows including "Leave It To Beaver," "Bewitched," "The Munsters," "Barney Miller" and "MASH," died Feb. 22 in Santa Monica, Calif. after suffering a heart attack in January. He was 79.

    M*A*S*H and Bewitches were some of my favortie shows growing up. Tis a sad thing to lose such a great writer, RIP Richard. :(

    RIP Richard Baer & now

    William F. Buckley Jr. dies at 82
    Buckley died Wednesday morning at his home in Stamford, Conn. She says he had been ill with emphysema and was found dead by his cook. Buckley became famous for his intellectual political writings in his magazine, the National Review, and his frequent television appearances, including on his own long-running "Firing Line.

    Actor Ben Chapman Dies at 79 - Thursday, Feb. 21 of congestive heart failure. - The 6-foot-5 ex-Marine played the title character in "Creature From the Black Lagoon," the classic 1954 3-D monster movie that quickly developed a cult following that has endured.

    William F. Buckley was a brilliant, interesting man, and I enjoyed watching his commentaries, mayb he RIP, and I don't know who the other guy is Ben Chapman :(

    Car-Building legend Boyd Coddington dies
    Car-building legend Boyd Coddington, whose testosterone-injected cable TV reality show "American Hot Rod" introduced the nation to the West Coast hot rod guru, has died. He was 63.
