Re: LIMS #5: Round 2 Voting! Least 17. The opacity effect just makes the image washed out. 15. The image, while well cropped seems very dull, possibly because of a texture layer. 03. The high contrast with what looks like a "darkened" layer makes the image grainy, and the layer overlay, isn't very seamless. Top 20. Great use of texture layers, great coloring, great cropping, great icon! 01. Nice effect around Aiden, really draws good focus to her and the text, nicely colored as well. I like the font face too, but I think it might be perfect just a touch smaller. Great job!

My internet just stopped working last friday (some thing to do with telegraph pole- they've got to put a new one in!) I'm now at the libary and I could only get here today Sorry again Nat! I would vote but this is one hell of a slow PC!

Least 17: It seems rather washed out--doesn't grab attention. 19: The texture seems like it was just plunked there and doesn't seem to flow/blend with the rest of the icon. 09: The icon is very dark, which makes the overall appearance difficult to see. Top 20: Lovely use of texture and cropping. It really stood out and it's very unique--in a good way! 13: The colouring is brilliant, it really livens up the icon. It's not too overpowering, but doesn't need much else either. Great job! Wonderful work everyone, it was very tough.
Re: LIMS #5: Round 2 Voting! Once again, it's hard to vote for LIMS... Least: 17. The colouring in this icon seems a bit washed out, it doesn't really catch your attention. 19. It is a little blurry and that texture doesn't seem to match the icon. 15. I think something's missing to make it stand out. Maybe it's the dark colouring. Faves: 12. The colouring is very nice and the brush gives it a special touch 01. Good effect to make the attention focus on Aiden

Least: 08: There's too much going on and the text and textures detract a lot of attention from Aiden. 15: The texture doesn't work well with her face and made it dull, grey and lifeless. It overall lacks something that grabs your attention. 19: The texture is too much, doesn't really work with the colours and flow of the image. Top: 01: Very pretty colouring and lightning, and the text just fits. The circly effect does a well job in drawing your eye to Aiden. 02: I love the warm colours and subtle text, as well as the cropping. I also like where you placed the text, just on that lighter part of hair. It looks like it's brushed but it isn't, and that's cool. x3
Re: LIMS #5: Round 2 Voting! 17: the opacity effect makes the icon look washed out instead of faded. 8: the placement of the name text doesn't flow with the icon, there is no focal point. 19. the texture graphic doesn't really seem to fit the icon, almost like it was plopped down, maybe if the opacity was reduced and a gradiant mask was used it would flow better. top: 1 i love this icon. it's simple, but beautiful. the circle graphic really puts your focus on aiden and the coloring is perfect. 20. i like the heaven like quality this icon has, it's gorgeous and the duplication is perfect.

Also the pinkish lighting effect doesn't flow well. 17 - The overlay or texture that was used washed out the entire icon. 3 - The texture or gradient or overlay washed out the icon and there are a few grainy spots. Top: 14: I like the dark coloring and it's not too dark that it's hard to see. 6 - the simple text and sloft lighting work very well.

Re: LIMS #5: Round 2 Voting! Least - 17 - too washed out 3 - the 2nd Aiden is not very seemless...looks like it is overlapping 8 - I can't quite put my finger on this....just seems unbalanced. Maybe the text is too big for the size of Aiden Top 13 - great crop and coloring 6 - I like the crop on this....very different. The text (words used) is just great.

I feel eevil- 17- the icon looks a bit washed out because of the overlay. 19- the use of the texture seesm out of place on this icon. 8- Aiden looks a little blurry and the top line of texts seems a bit big. best- 1- This is beautiful. I love the font and the circle effect really works nicely. 2- great crop and it's nice and simple and not too overcrowded. the coloring is beautiul.

Re: LIMS #5: Round 2 Voting! Least: 17: The icon is very white/transparent, which in turn makes it hard to see her clearly. The crop is also a little odd, maybe it would have been better if was more clear, maybe darker? 19: The icon is lacking. I think you used a texture, but it looks like you erased most of the texture itself to make the flower in the corner more visible. Her face is a bit blurry as well. 07: I really believe this icon would have been amazing had you left "Angel" out of it. Not that she isn't one (cause she's beautiful!) but I dislike the font, and the white-ness/border/stroke behind it. Your crop is very good though. Best: 02: Okay, this icon was the first one to stand out to me. The colouring was great, and I like the blurrish effect you have around the word "missing" it captures the moment (or well, picture in this case) greatly. 08: The colouring in this icon is amazing. The font you used also made it appear as if you were using a tiny text brush and since you weren't the effect is pretty awesome. The crop is also very good

Least 19 - the texture doesn't really blend in the with the image 03 - washed out effect because of the greadient/coloring/texture?) and the overlay level isn't seemless and is distracting 17 - coloring gives a washed out effect and the framing doesn't complement the image well Top 01 - Good crop, perfect text placement and font choice, and the touch of color give the icon a great feel 20 - Great composition with the placement and juxtaposition of the colored and b&w image
