So I was talking with my friend about relationships and she totally said something that describes Gil and Cath, as she helps me sort through my problems. She said that love is when you can sit with your partner for a long time in complete silence, without TV or music, and the silence will never be awkward. If she watched CSI, I swear that she'd be a grillows shipper, lol.

So, I have to share what I just told Erica.

I just watched Leapin' Lizards with Bruno and the GSR scene. And I was watching it, and I knew I was supposed to be seeing Sara eat yoghurt, right? Except all of a sudden, it wasn't Sara.

It was Catherine, eating ice-cream. And she was all excited because she loves horror movies. It was LITERALLY Catherine

And the letter and that all stayed, because hello, perfect for Catherine. And I was like - dude! I really enjoyed that GC scene!

Yes, they don't need to talk to understand each other. It reminds me of a scene in "Identity Crisis" when Catherine understands, just by looking at Grissom, how unconfortable he is that the csi keep talking about the fact he shares the same bithdate with the victims. Cath finds a ways to take them away, and Gil just says "thanks". I love the look they give to each other ! love that scene !

For a look at the true Cath/Gil relationship, I always refer back to the scene in Burked with the two sitting back-to-back on the chairs in the PD lobby while talking about Walt Braun.

Gil: Who is he?

Cath: He's Tony Braun's brother. He's a pit boss at the Tangiers which is why his prints were on file -- gaming card.

Gil: He's family. Why's he using the doggie door and not the front door?

Cath: Go figure. The more evidence that shows up the more this case doesn't make sense. We got two suspects in custody and neither of their prints are on the duct tape.

Gil: Or on the doggie door ... but the brother's are.

Cath: Mm-hmm.

Gil: So, call the print lab.

Cath: It's been done. They're not Walt Braun's prints on the tape. Came back unknown.


So cute that they're always on the same wavelength, and finishing each other's thoughts. And whomever it was on the dvd commentary (Ann Donahue, maybe?) said the same thing. I think that's where she said they were like an old married couple. *sniffle* Please come back, Ann!! We need you desperately!

Cath and Gil are like the old married couple. They complete each other. They don't need to say a word to each other and they 'get' each other.

My recent favorite scene was the Finale of Season 7.
When Gil took the glasses off his head and gave them to Cath...
How sweet, and married couple like, was that??
