Just a reminder that solicitation (in whatever cause) is not permitted on the BBS. Those who sign up and come here for this purpose will be removed from the BBS.

A word of caution, this is the internet. People can say anything. If you answer any solicitations, be very careful. You don't know how legitimate a cause is or what will happen to your money.

I understand that feelings are running high regarding the departing character. Nonetheless, that does not mean that posters here can be solicited for funds in an attempt to keep the character.

    Thank you.

    Re: Solicitation

    I've read and understand.

I would like to say something about the Dollars for Sense campaign though. Nobody is saying that you must send in a dollar. Send a letter - send a flyer. Send a postcard that just says "Keep Jorja!".

We're just attempting to get a message out. No offense intended to anyone.

None taken, but be that as it may, while it does say if you can't afford... it still does ask for money to be sent and the board rules clearly state that posting that here is not allowed. As Bonz Stated we understand the drive to want to keep your favorite character, but while the intentions maybe good, and maybe allowed in other places its just not here. ;)

If I may say this; I think people are making this campaign, and while they are trying to help, it was Jorja's decision to leave. Campaigning to CBS probably won't help (though it is a good effort). And though you guys (the people who are doing this) are doing it over money issues, we do not know if it is a money issue why Jorja is leaving.

    </end>

First of all, Jorja is still on the show, so stop talking like she`s already gone.

Secondly, no offence, but you have no idea what´s the issue with TPTB......why, or if she`s going to leave -and neither do her fans.
Nothing is definite at this moment.

Yeah and that`s why it`s not about the money, it`s about showing our support to a beautiful and amazing actress.

Again, how can you assume it won`t help?
That`s pretty ignorant in my opinion, just think about the Roswell Tabasco bottles, or the Jericho Nuts Campaign!!!
Even if it is not working, at least we tried.

ETA: I hope it`s allowed to post my opinion about this campaign?? I`m not posting any links or something.

No problem with me. I work to hard for my money to toss it away anyway.

    Re: Solicitation

Again, I know passions are running high regarding this issue, but I don't want a site promoted that specifically asks for a donation. That is just too risky.

Plus - again, moderation guys. I just had a case where the same poster posted the SAME POST FOURTEEN TIMES!!!!

That is spamming. That is warnable. She is sitting out a week for it.

Please maintain some perspective and control here. You can express your dismay with the action without going crazy. Please don't link to sites soliciting (no matter how good the cause) and don't spam in every damned thread. People will get the point if you post it once. Truly.
