I don't necessarily think that's the case. I've heard of quite a few people who have got lower results, and still got there first choice. One friend got two As and a C, when she needed 2As and a B for a Vet science course at Nottingham, and they still let her in. Another gal needed 3Cs for Aberyswyth(sp?) and she got 3Ds but has been accepted. I think the grade boundaries are more of a guideline really. IDK.
Well done on your A level results. :) My dad pointed out to me today that A levels are just to get into a university, and employers don't look at them any way, (he works at a training quantity surveying place, I'm not entirely sure what he does! basically taking in people that have just graduated, or are studying part time.) we've got A levels, it doesn't matter what the specific grade is. :p

I didn't do one set of exams without a resit! If I was able to retake mine this time around I would be retaking 4 of mine! Oh the joys. Friend of mine didn't have to retake any of her exams, seriously unfair...but I guess she did more work than me.

Thanks peeps. :D I am doing forensics, although at the beginning of sixth form I wanted to be a doctor (what a laugh!) I bet you'll change your mind once you see the possibilities csi_love. :p

I forgot to mention that I got a C in General Studies. They call it an A level in pub quiz, it was compulsory for me as the school gets more money from the government or something if they make their students take it, so I had to sit in an exam hall for an extra 9 hours in total. Funny stuff.

    I'm a tad drunk and so I'm rambling...HA!

Don't worry about these results. In my year the whole biology class resat the AS, and quite a few people retook psych. I think most people do worse in biology the first time round than they think they will.

Quite possibly. I originally wanted to do forensic psychology but the course at Lincoln looks better than the one I found.

I guess I should just get through sixth form first :)

HA! You stalking me? :p Yeah, I thought about specialising early, I was going to do a forensic anthropology course or something, I can't really remember, it was like a year ago, but I want to keep my options open so that I can change my mind, and specialise if I need to or not if the case may be. :)

Yeah, I thought about that too.

    Don't worry though, I don't think I'd make a very good stalker :)

If anyone starts lurking outside your house it is not me

It's my results day today (hence why it is early. I can't sleep) so I'll probably come back and edit this post to say how I did.

    Thank you.

    I got an A*, an A, four Bs, a C and a D. (Plus two wannabe GCSE courses I took in which I got an A and a B)

    I'm happy with that :)

I'm only in year 10 but to facilitate the 'statistics' course and triple science, I took 'stats' this year.....

I got an A! However, I don't know whether to be happy or not because for my stats coursework I got 2 marks off full, so I imagine that I received a B on the 2 1/2 hour exam to equal out an A.

I also received other results but I'm not sure what grades they equate to, does anyone here take GCSE French and German and have recently done a reading and listening module exam?

For french I received a '78' and for german I got a '75' whatever that means.

For science, it was also a modular course, so I received the results of my last module exam for that course (not the full mark). Physics I got a '40' and Chemistry I got a '45' I think they're both out of 50 because that was the format for my other science module exams.

I really have to disagree with those who feel that GCSEs/A Levels are getting easier, I'd like to see all the nay-sayers pass french, german, child development, biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, statistics, english, english literature and religious studies with flying colours.

I have a feeling that all those that think exams are getting easier had that said about their exams and results in their day, even though they say they were "harder."

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE WHO RECEIVED THEIR RESULTS AND ARE PLEASED WITH WHAT THEY GOT! :D

I'd like to see someone take A level psychology and come out saying the exams are getting easier, cause that exam did not get any easier for me, or any of my mates taht took it as well.
