Cate I'm pretty sure it's only a couple years that Louie is older than Danny and I'm pretty sure Danny grew up in New York...check on wikipedia, they'll have all the info, just type in "Danny Messer" and it'll all pop up!

Speaking of wikipedia, someone should type in "Smacked" and see if anything for Mac and Stella pops up! I would laugh so hard if it did and we made it into wiki! :lol:

We should get SMACked in the fanfiction wiki. I found one of those somewhere but so far, they only have CSI:LV -- but not all the ships even.

Cate, he’s from Staten Island. The Bronx comment appeared in ep 2x09 City of the Dolls, in a scene between Danny and Lindsay outside of a suspect’s apartment. Detective Monroe had removed her shoes and set them on the outside doormat alongside the owner’s, as a sign of respect (since the owner doesn’t wear their shoes indoors). The conversation went as follows:

Danny: What are you doin'? You don't gotta do that.
Lindsay: I was taught that if you show someone a little respect you might get more than what you came for.
Danny: You, uh, play good cop, I'll be bad cop and I'll keep my shoes on.
Lindsay: Okay. I guess you didn't grow up with hardwood floors.
Danny: No I didn't actually. Bronx marble.
Lindsay: What's that?
Danny: It's linoleum.

Mac personally choosing him might help explain the often tense, almost parental dynamic between Mac and Danny. Mac and Stella often seem like the parents or older siblings of the NY team!

2. Danny - already answered. Don - his CBS bio says Yonkers...not sure which burrough it's in.

 

I don't believe Yonkers is part of NYC. It is a city in Westchester County. It borders the Bronx which is one of the 5 boroughs of NYC.

Uhm... so is it safe to say that Don grew up in a "better" environment than Danny? I really need this for a fic I'm working on -- that is not SMACked -- for a change. Lol....

Anyway, back to SMACked we go.

 

Maybe we should have an 'alternate' "Cold Reveal" where Stella's blood match combined with Mac's troubles with the NYPD sees both of them arrested and potentially ended up floating around NYC until they're finally cleared.
