Hi everyone!! School has been a bummer, and I've been swamped with essays!! Sorry for not checking in sooner.

@ HCrazy: Love the WP!! And the new manip in the center is gorgeaus!!

Just to talk postcards: I still have to print mine out, because my printer only prints in black and white!! *thinks of printing them out in school* My envelopes and stamps are ready, and I've written letters to the writers and producers, to Emily, to David, and to the 2 magazines, plus I'm sending them 4 postcards each! I think they'll get the message, huh?

@ Cova: I know exactly what you mean. Frasier has so many parallels with Miami, doesn't it? H and Cal are like Niles and Daphne, aww! But I hope it doesn't have to come down to that, and just have Horatio telling Calleigh in an intimate setting how he feels, confiding to her about Marisol or Raymond or something, then it'll be like, "Come here, you" and she'll give him a nice hug. In my dreams!

I agree with everyone about the last couple episodes. Especially since the Season is wrapped, we ought to have a phonecall or a conversation near the end, set us up for S6. Wow, we've come a long way anyway, but it hasn't been pretty. *sigh* But fanfiction and the faith of the shippers has kept me sane. I feel so weary with it all... but imagine this, just think for a while... what if Horatio and Calleigh really HAD been seeing each other secretly, unknown to the team and the fans, setting up for the massive bombshell at the start of S6?? It's foolish to even surmise or contemplate, but it really is logical. No time together AT ALL, even though they are the 2 leads, this seemingly self-imposed DISTANCE ever since S3, and NOT A WORD SPOKEN to each other, without a single case worked on together... All of that = starcrossed lovers forced to keep their relationship a secret because no one understands them or ever will because they are 2 in a million. *deep breath* Rant over. If that happened, I'd march into CBS and give TPTB such a smack... or maybe just hug them and leave... *shrug*

Hey- this thread is great- and it keeps me sane- I just LOVE duCaine and it is great to be with fellow believers---I think someone else posted that AFTER all the hype abut the kiss- it really wasn't that much- just a friendly peck on the cheek-- also for " whatever" reason CSI"M did not fare so well in the ratings esp. for a NEW episode-- so maybe TPTB will realize that E/C is not so very popular-- or maybe even realize that they need to rebuild the " friendships" on the show-- and leave the romance to the fantic writers-- teehee--- anyway--- I will ALWAYS support my DuCaine-

This is BS. In Season 2 they were going to do this same exact thing between H and Cal in "Officer Down" that they're now doing with E/C. I heard they scrapped it back then b/c they didn't want romance between the main characters - and now they pull this. I mean, Ryan's gettin fired and I have to watch Cal and Eric share a "moment" with a shard of glass. Gag me. TPTB are totally shoving this down our throats. This could top the whole Marisol/H thing, b/c at least we knew that wasn't gonna last.

You know what I'd like to see - actual comradery between the ENTIRE team. Go out for a beer, hang out at a diner. I'm not even hoping for H/C right now - I just want the team to act like a team again. No one even cared when Ryan left. Cal should've been around for that one.

I guess the only shippers who have it worse than us right now are CarWash - at least we don't have a scene next week where H & Cal are fighting - although God knows I'd settle for that over this non-interaction we've been suffering through since freakin' DECEMBER!

Yes, that means there was no H/C interaction in "Burned" either, even though they were at the same crime scene at the same time - this is way too weird. I don't get it - they have incredible chemistry. If anybody has any connections, can we at least find out what's goin' on or if H&C will ever be in a scene together again???

 

I am seriously freaking pissed off right now at this whole mess. First, they ignore the oh-so OBVIOUS chemistry with the two characters, then they go steal all our scenes away from us!

I mean, I totally understand that the E/C thing is what both Adam and Emily want, plus Corey Miller and a couple of other producers, and Adam said he wants them to get married, but they should ultimately leave it to the fans!

And what this bullshit about not wanting to put two lead characters together? They're gonna do it with Stella and Mac, so why NOT with Horatio and Calleigh?!

Also, David is a father as most of us know and is expecting another with his girlfriend, and may not be comfortable with flirting, kissing or possibly more with another woman....but... Still, they should leave it to the fans.

That is my point in this, dont you think? Horatio and Calleigh would be a more logical choice, because H is more mature than Eric, who I think still acts like a highschool quarterback or whatever.

E/C is like my replacement for Speed/Calleigh, but it still doesn't sit right with me... I'd even be happy if Ryan/Calleigh got more friendly, I think that shows how desperate some of us are and how much the show would benefit from the leads getting together, don't you think?

okay, that is enough of a rant from me, I could go on longer if you'd like. Just tell me if you want me to, I could fill a whole friggin book with what I have to say.

EDIT: Okay, I'm kind of feeling a little better right now, and deep down I really do like the possibility of these two, because I'm pretty sure hes like the cuban verison of Speed... :lol: But still.....I am all tied up and having an oral presentation at school tomorrow certainly doesn't help

Maybe, maybe not. He shared a shower with another woman in that infamous scene in 'NYPD Blue' and he was in a serious relationship at that point. But then again, the woman wasn't pregnant. Hmmmm...
And I agree with you BG...the fans are the reason any popular show is popular. If the fans aren't happy, they'll show their disapproval by going to another show.

I've noticed that ever since Marisol's death, Eric's calmed down a bit. He's 'got his shit together', as I would put it. I've also noticed (and I'm sure everyone else in the universe) that H has changed as well and has become more distant from the team. Maybe that's the reason why nothing's happened. Maybe they were on the brink of something happening and then he was married to Marisol then lost her. Maybe she felt betrayed. I don't know.

 

I can safely say I echo my feelings on how this whole E/C thing feels like it's being shoved down our throats. *Sigh* Sometimes I wish I just stuck with the flagship series. Hey writers remember back early on when our favorite duo had actual screentime together?? Where it'd go!?

 

Here is my question and I am quoting Bullet_Girl but this isn't directed toward her.....she just has the words I am questioning in her post.

Where is this coming from ?? I have seen the interviews and read the articles and I have not see anything about Emily and Adam "wanting this" or that Adam wants them to "get married". It seems there are lots of people out there that agree with this theory and I'm afraid comments are being expanded into rumors that just aren't true. I mean if there is something I have not see or read, where Emily and Adam specifically say they "WANT THIS", let me know.

I guess I am just frustrated [not at you guys] because I hate when an inncoent comment gets blown all out of proportion and causes people to give up.
