My sister saw Half Nelson and she said it was awesome.

I'm rooting for Little Miss Sunshine and Will Smith :)

I was a bit quick with it!

Your welcome everyone, I was going to add on the rest when I had a little more time, but Dynamo beat me to it. ;)

    I can't believe Johnny Depp wasn't nominated. :(

Helen Mirren (and Judi Dench as well) is great with everything she does. If she is as great in "The Queen" as she was in Elizabeth I - there is no doubt.

    She's such an amazing actress.

"The Illusionist" should have been nominated for Best Film. Great movie.

Otherwise, I don't really care for the Oscars.

Yay for Helen Mirren! :D She's so awesome and so deserved win!

Ha, I guess Leo has to wait ;) Forest is amazing actor. Haven't seen the movie yet, tho.

and Happy Feet! It is sooo cute and I guess different from...I think lots of kids animations involve violence. Happy Feet doesn't. And if it does, it's explained.

Glad that the Departed got nominated and won some. Just goes to show that the Oscars can redeem itself sometimes.
But Happy Feet as best Animated? Huh.

    Re: The Oscars 2007

I'm so happy Ellen hosted. She's so funny and talented. And it's about time a girl hosted it.
As a little girl, it was always my dream to host the Oscars
And I'm glad she danced! Shows her true self. And I like how she "recylcled" her old jokes. Like the one about Gilligan's island!
And BTW Palm, I cannot get over that icon. It is so funny

I didn't see the awards, but I'm so pleased Dame Helen Mirren won. :)

I'm also pleased The Departed got 4 Oscars - it's so deserved!

    Re: The Oscars 2007

The hilights for me were whenever Ellen was on & when Jerry Seinfeld presented the award for best documentary. The song that Will Ferrell & Jack Black did cracked me up too . Oh wait, & then there was Daniel Craig looking all hot & tanned in that suit .

I really wish Little Miss Sunshine won best picture as I *love* Steve Carrell.

Yes, indeed, I didn't think anyone could surpass Meryl after seeing "Prada" but then I saw 'The Queen" and was blown away, by her.. extrodinary job, I was rooting for her, so glad she won, as well, and the upset of the evening seemd to be Alan Arkin, over Eddie Murphy, everything else was pretty predictable, and ELLEN rocked, hilarious :lol:good show, I love the Oscars.. all those celebrites dressed up in their finery.. awesome evening

    Re: The Oscars 2007

my favourite was will farrel and jack black, especially when will said to mark wahlberg 'youre kinda bad ass so im going to leave you alone'

i dont remember all my picks, i did them for a contest but didnt write them down, but i think i had a lot right. so glad for alan arkin even though i wasnt expecting it. little miss sunshine was fabulous, i was rooting for it for best picture but knew the departed would win.

and i think helen mirin was best dressed. she looked fierce, as stacey london on what not to wear would say :D other dresses i liked were kate winslet, cate blanchet, and penelope cruz :)
