Ugh, I guess I'll bump our poor thread again. Y'all are slacking!

Here are some pictures Rhonda gave me of the boys. ;)

Aww, aren't they cutesy?...ignore Mac, by the way :p

    Are you staring, Flack?

    Can't deny it this time!

    Aww, somebody's in love. [IMG]

So, er, let's see...something to discuss...

What sort of situation would you like to see for Danny to show that their friendship (and possibly relationship) isn't one-sided? Do you want it to be something major, or would you rather Danny show it in smaller ways? Do you think it would have to be major for Danny to prove it? Of course, if the bombing wasn't enough to get him to show it, I don't know what would be. :(

I think Danny's problem is that he really has to take the initiative to do it. He knows that Flack's going to stick around even if he doesn't make a point of showing that the relationship isn't one-sided, but he has to realize that it's not always going to work. At some point Flack's going to get fed up and, if that happens, I don't know if Danny would be able to convince him not to give up. So I really think Danny has to do something before then, and he knows it. I think he could start small, really, and Don would understand that he's trying to do...

That was a bit random, but there you go. Now somebody else talk, damnit!

ah i was wondering where this thread had got to!

great pics. I love the 3rd one ^_^ Flack's face is just oh so...pinchable lol.

I'd quite like to see little things from Danny, I'm a bit tired now so I can't really think of anything. But even small things that showed that he appreciates Flack would be great. I don't know whether the writers mean to make it so one-sided or not, but they're doing a good job of it!

If there's another let's-save-Danny moment again, I think Don may notice that Danny never seems to be there for him! GOd Danny, even if you just BUY HIM SOME FOOD

god i think i'm going to fall asleep.

    hey, faylinn,

I think we might actually get some love for Flack from Danny in one of the upcoming episodes...
The episode coming up where Flack and Mac butt heads over the one detective who palms or does drugs at a scene that Flack's at and is then under investigation. In the episode after that one, Flack is still pissed at Mac, and Danny's working that case with the pair of them. I think Danny's a really loyal guy despite all his non-saying so and always seems to root for the underdog (and he loves Flack) so we can only assume he'll side with Flack.

I had to dredge the thread up from the murky depths of page two! (Heh heh ;))

Well, that sounds like good news, rollinsgirl. :D I hope we get to see Danny really showing Don some love...in a manner of speaking.

I know what you mean, L2MS, if the writers are trying to make it one-sided, they've been very successful so far. But if they want it to be a two-way street, they're not doing such a good job. :p

Yes, the food obsession would be a good moment for them. Can you see a scene like this?

*They're working a long shift, and Danny walks in with a bag*
Danny: Hey, Don, I brought lunch.
    *Don perks up*
    Don: Yeah, what'd you get?
Danny: *smirks* I got Chinese, I know you like lo mein, so...*hands Don a container*
Don: *starts to inhale the food* Thanks, Dan, this is great...*sniffs the air* Is that a cinnamon bun I smell?
Danny: *smirks again, and pulls a smaller bag from behind his back* Yep, I got dessert too.

 And there was much love and smexing later that night.

*yanks the poor thread out of the bog*

There were some great moments in "Murder Sings the Blues." Eddie and Carmine can make the most out of a few little scenes, can't they? :D I loved the banter in the apartment, as well as the interrogation scene. When they interrogate someone together, it's always entertaining. ;) Have you noticed how often Danny is sitting and Don is standing in these interrogations? I wonder why that is? It seems like it could be a sign of Danny's comfort with Don, that he's sitting with Don standing where he can't really see him. Danny trusts him, something like that. ;) I'd be interested to see if it's always like that when he does a joint interrogation, how he sits/stands if he's doing it solo, etc...a very interesting idea, yes. :p

I'm not sure we'll get screencaps, though, since they went back to that annoying thing where they switch from one camera to the other so that one person is either not in the shot or it's just the side of their head. So very annoying.

Anyway, the preview for next week makes it look like a very interesting episode for some nice little post-ep fics. ;) This episode could spawn some too, of course, we'll have to see. :p *gets a plot bunny that involves the wedding cake samples*

Oh, Danny's definitely the boss that way--Flack so caters to all of his needs! But I think that's why there's definitely something in it for Flack--Flack is so the one pounding the pavement, if you catch my drift. ;)

AWWWW!!! Look at Flack staring! :D Seriously, the man has eyes for nothing else when his Danny is in the room.

OK, how adorable was it when Flack called Danny "Danno" in "Murder Sings the Blues"??? :D :D :D It totally made me grin like crazy. Flack's so completely smitten. Did you see the way he was just grinning and just gazing at Danny while Danny looked down the air shaft? Flack's in love, and it's just impossible to deny.

Danny seemed a little standoffish--he pointedly called Flack "Flack" in response and seemed irritated that Flack was telling him something he already knows. Do you think Flack gets a little overbearing (not intentionally, of course) sometimes? But then, I think Danny relies on him an awful lot, which probably leads to that at times. I love the way Danny looks up at Flack as the interrogation is wrapping up, as if silently signalling Flack to take care of the suspect now. Danny seems to totally rely on Flack in so many ways; I think it's natural that Flack maybe gets a tad overprotective or overbearing.

I bet hearing someone suggest Danny should have some sense beaten into him is really going to fire Flack up. The man wouldn't even let an angry cop near his baby in "On the Job"! But what's this about Danny being a felon??? Are they referring to the cop shooting? As for Danny being supportive of Flack--I really hope we get something from Danny during the Mac and Flack conflict. Either Danny sticking up for Flack to Mac, or comforting Flack when he's upset about it. Danny has a very sweet side to him, and I'd like to see that come out more when he's with Flack.

I love this thread so much. Whenever I feel like I'm losing steam in my writing ... all I have to do is come here and read all the great posts. :D Lovely screencaps, those!

The Danno thing? Priceless. The last interrogation scene? Even better. Yes, my fellow shippers, it's just a matter of time until Flack crushes Danny against a wall in the locker room and has his jackhammer ways with the CSI. ;)

As for the spoiler, oh, yes! I can totally see Flack freaking out, should he be in the scene! Can't wait for that!

Danny is definitely the one in charge. He gives Don 'control,' so to speak, but that's because he trusts Don not to hurt or take advantage of him. You can bet that if, at any time, he felt that Don was using or abusing him, he'd put a stop to it. I think Danny likes having Don be 'in charge' as much as Don likes that Danny trusts him that much. It's a two-way street, it's not just about Don getting what he wants. I mean, porn in fanfic is hot, but ultimately I want it to mean more than just sex if I'm reading it, you know? That's how I look at it, anyway.

Now, that's not to say Danny doesn't like it rough, sometimes. ;) Or Don, for that matter. I think there's a distinct difference between rough sex and abuse.

    Anyway, onto other things. ;)

Top, I loved when he called Danny "Danno," that was so damn cute! *pinches their cheeks* :p

I still haven't rewatched it, but I'll be looking for Danny's reaction and the way they interacted in that scene and the rest of the episode. ;)

And I brought this up over in the NY forum, but I wonder what Flack likes to do with that leather-and-metal-ring necklace that Danny is wearing now? Perhaps it's part of some nice little kinky outfit he wears for his Donnie, and he wears the necklace to make it hard for Don to get any work done.

I'm curious about what's going to happen in upcoming episodes as well. I hope we get to see Danny being a good friend, finally. I know we'll see Don being there for Danny since it's a given, but I'd like to see Danny return the favor for once. As for whatever that guy says about Danny, I'm guessing it's rumors based on his family's activities. But it will be interesting to see if we learn anything else about his family from the episode...

Edit: Damn, Kimmy, I took too long to post. Let's see...

Yes, Flack will eventually have his way with Danny. In the locker room sounds hawt...with handcuffs, yes? *cough*leave the tie on, Don*cough* ;) (Sounds familiar, but it would be nice if Don wasn't upset with Danny next time. :p)

I hope you're getting lots of ficcy ideas in here so you can write some more lovely porny fics.

I love this thread too. I need more free time, dammit! It makes me all kinds of happy to read about the boys in love. :D

Flack is so thisclose to doing it, too. The way he smiled at Danny while Danny looked down the air shaft...Flack was thinking about getting himself some delicious Danny goodness. ;)

Same here! Flack is so protective of Danny--I really love that. I could see him going apeshit over someone trash talking his baby.

Same here. I think Danny looks at Flack as the one person he can really trust, both physically and emotionally. Flack would never hurt Danny, and I think by now Danny finally trusts that. I definitely agree that it's a big deal for both of them that Danny is willing to let Flack be in control in the bedroom. I think it also makes Flack even more protective of Danny, and maybe why we see Flack being the more demonstrative of the two when they're together.

Oh, definitely. ;) Flack is pretty controlled at work, which means that passion has to spill over somewhere, and what better place than in the bedroom? You can practically see the anticipation in his eyes when he looks at Danny in the lab or at a crime scene. ;)

It was adorable! Dan, Danno...Flack just has all sorts of nicknames for his little Kinkapoodle, doesn't he? :D

I bet it does! I also wonder if Flack gave him that necklace. ;)

I'd like to see Danny return the favor, too, even if it's just something sweet and subtle, like putting his hand on Flack's arm or sticking up for Flack to Mac. As for Flack, given the bad things that have gone down in Danny's past, I can't imagine the good detective will take too kindly to someone suggesting Danny should have the crap beat out of him. That's the kind of comment that would have Flack seeing red...

Sounds hot! And I meant to mention that I loved that story...Flack should definitely whip out his handcuffs and take his Kinkapoodle in the locker room. ;)

Glad to see you stopped by, Top--the thread just isn't as porny and fun without all of us in here.

I'm glad to hear you liked the story. There's a sequel that just needs to be typed up. Let's just say, this time Danny needs to f**k a little bit of sense into Don. That will make story number, er, 3 or 4 in the whole fandom that has Danny on top.

I really love the friendship between these two on the show. The writers generally can't handle romantic relationships to save their lives, but the friendship is awesome. Of course, I'm quite convinced that the majority of the friendship-chemistry we see is between the actors and just spills over onto the screen, but it's so awesome either way. :D Half the fun of this ship, for me, is taking what's there and reading between the lines. And, of course, the way Don acts is especially easy to look at in a romantic way when I put on my shippy-glasses. I can see them as just-friends, but this is so much more fun and interesting! Besides, they were just-friends first, so seeing them be the best friends we know they are is perfect! :D

I'm really excited about the spoilers for the upcoming episodes. I hope that the information that we've learned so far all ends up in the show. It'll be great for Danny and Flack fans one-and-all, and we shippers will be especially pleased. ;)

OMG!!! I can't believe it's been two weeks since I've posted in here. But, I do read all the new posts.

I have to admit that the writer's have not disappointed me so far this season with all the Danny/Flack moments. We DF shippers can turn any of their scenes into uber shippiness. I hope upcoming episodes are just a good. I'm happy to see them working together more.

I am curious as to all the staring Flack does at Danny. Is Danny clueless or does he totally know and just enjoys the hell out of it?

It seems to me that Flack has been letting his "pet" nicknames for Danny come out of the bedroom and appear during work hours. "Dan" in Live or Let Die and now "Danno" in Murder Sings the Blues.

It's just a matter of time before he slips and does something else. I'll let you guys decide on what "else" would be.

I like the friendship between the two as well. I get the sense that Danny and Flack genuinely care about each other. It's fun reading between the lines, but there's definitely a lot there on the surface to see.

And I guess after watching the show for three seasons, I think it's painfully obvious that Flack has it bad for Danny. The way he stares at him and just the way he beams at Danny, as if Danny is the most wonderful thing he's ever seen. It seems like Flack never even looks at women on the show, certainly not in that way. He and Stella have that cop buddy dynamic that one would normally expect him to have with another guy. He treats Danny differently than he treats anyone else--he's so reverent and respectful of Danny. Even when he teases Danny, it's very gentle ribbing. It's so cute.

As for whether Danny knows Flack stares or not...I think he does, and I think he likes it. It makes him feel safe and wanted. Danny's kind of an attention whore, and he always has Flack's undivided attention. He doesn't seem to acknowledge it, perhaps because he's afraid if he does, Flack will stop paying him that kind of attention. I wonder if that's why he's brisk with Flack sometimes--he's afraid Flack will stop doting on him if he relaxes and goes with the flow.

The nicknames are just adorable. :D Flack is definitely not shy about expressing his ardor for his Kinkapoodle! :D I'd love to see him slip into Da--I mean, slip up in some other way. ;)

Yep, all I need are a scene and a look and I'm good. Hell, half the time I don't even need that to expand on things. ;) But I'm glad to see a nice variety in who works together overall, and when it comes to shipping I'm especially glad D/F has had some great scenes together. I'll be crossing my fingers that it continues this way. ;)

Danny might be clueless about some things (that swim gym contraption immediately comes to mind ;)), but I get the feeling that he's very aware of the people around him and he's very attuned to their attitudes. It would be nearly impossible for him to miss Don's obvious infatuation, unless he was in denial or didn't think Don would care about him, etc. But I think at this point he's past that and would be very aware of Don's staring. ;) And he totally eats it up and makes sure to do things to tease Don.

Ditto. Danny is such a worry-wart. Poor woobie. I also wonder if Flack knows that Danny is worried and, in some way, thinks if he doesn't reassure him too much, he won't have to worry about Danny losing interest with him. :( Silly boys.

Absolutely. Heh heh. :p I love it. Don is getting more comfortable with it, and a bit more bold I'd say. I wonder if Danny gets nervous or if he gives the Jackhammer an extra helping of the Kinkapoodle on days where he uses a pet name at work? ;)

Yes, yes, yes! :D Flack is so unimpressed with most people, and it makes his respect and admiration for his co-workers seem that much more special. But the way Flack is with Stella versus the way he is with Danny, to me, is worlds apart. ;) I love how he doesn't check women out, he doesn't flirt--on the one hand you know it's just not his way, but on the other hand you know it also has a lot to do with the fact that he's got someone, thank-you-very-much, and he's happy where he is.

I haven't seen all the episodes this season, but it seems the writer's are making a concerted effort to pair Danny and Flack together more often this season than last. I'm so glad they finally realize how wonderful Carmine and Eddie are together on screen. Flack's staring and goofy grins can be found everywhere this season, I imagine Danny must see what's going on in his peripheral vision. No doubt, Danny bends a bit easier when Flack spends the day mooning over him. My use of the word bends was meant in the easy, eager, pliant, willing sense, not the bent over a table, chair, sofa, cabinet, sink sense.
