LMAO Anne. You can't just say you love Burked. You need to tell us why you love it, which part of it you love. We're discussing, remember that? As for me, I love the way they greet each other in this episode. The "good morning"'s sounds so warm and so...I don't know, sweet? Not to mention that at the crime scene, he keeps staring at her from behind.

I also really loved them just being so easy around each other.

True. Except not ALL fans, you know, there are SOME fans who don't care about anything but their own ships. Sometimes I read posts saying an episode is all about so and so (insert ship names) and I laugh. I don't think there has been any episode specially focused on a ship. There might have been character-centered episodes, like Weeping Willows, but ship-centered ones? Come on. Even in Bodies in Motion, which gave us hints of C/W (now, don't hit me for saying that. LOL), it was just a couple scenes, not the entire episode. I doubt there is going to be any ship-centered episode. Even TPTB have chosen a ship to sail, I don't think they'd be that stupid. It's a show focused on the cases after all. Then again, seeing what they have done to the last few episodes of season 6, who knows?

I agree, Erica. We haven't had any ship orientated episodes and I don't think they'll do one. They know that the show is about forensics, and I don't think they want to risk anymore of the audience than they already have.

We haven't had ship oriented episodes at all (it would be interesting to see one, however), and I don't think TMTB will sink that low to entice viewers. We've got something good here, and I think TMTB know it. So hopefully, they won't try to pull off something that's going to turn everyone off except for perhaps a certain percentage (a small percentage may I add) of the viewer population. Come on. If you want ships, go to Grey's. We shouldn't be trying to do something Grey's does quite well, apparently, and lose what we have. It's Crime Scene Investigations not Criminally Sexy Investigators (which is absolutely true. :lol

Oh my, Burked reminds me sooo much of Sam Braun *tear* And it was the episode where one of the PTB's said that they need not look into each others eyes to understand each other.

And the director of Burked, Danny Canon (i think, im not sure ) said in the commentary how he loved Marg's acting in the scene where she was supposed to be surprised. He said its so natural.

Yeah. Burked is the first time we see Sam Braun. He and Catherine are so close in this episode. *tears* I love that back-to-back pic. I think moments like this belong to classic CSI, too. Oh speaking of that, I've got this pic:

I love those two pics posted, they look so close and together in them.

Burked was a great episode, the Sam Braun/Catherine interaction was great, and the 'Good Morning is a little classic line', so obscure but says so much

I also thought it was a good episode because Gil quoted things quite a lot to her in the episode, and it kinda rubbed off on Catherine because then later on she started qutoing to him

we got the first sam/cath interaction *cries again*

the dummy! ok, this will seem odd coming from me but i love it when they have cath and sara carrying large objects thru the lab. it is just so funny. i miss it. and i miss the dummy (but i doubt warrick does, but that would be because cath owns him because of the pic she took of him and said dummy in s1).

Let's not get started again about fans of other ships (shippers don't have to focus on anything but their own ship). This is Shipper Central, it's all about everyone's opinions. I'm not trying to be mean but this is not the place to talk about that. As I said before, there are multi-shippers who come in here and we must respect them as well as anyone else who reads this thread.

I'm not sure if Except not ALL fans, you know, there are SOME fans who don't care about anything but their own ship was a direct jab at a certain ship or not (although I'm thinking that it was) but it needs to stay out of this thread.

Burked - LOVE this episode.
This is the first time we see a little more into Cath's extended family - even though Sam was only a "close family friend" at this point. We also get our first "Mugs" moment.

The "hello"s were cute. I believe in the commentary, they mentioned that they put this in because, since it was the season 2 opener, they were addressing the fans by saying "we're back".

The "old-married couple" moment - sitting back-to-back in PD discussing the case - was just so classic. Another scene I remember is when they were in the breakroom eating, discussing the case. Brass calls Tony a drug addict, Cath says "Jim, that's just a little callous" - like she's sticking up for her family. It always makes me wonder if she really knew Tony & Walt. I'm sure she must have to some extent. You see earlier when Walt interrupts Sam & Cath in the casino about the valet problem, he doesn't even say a polite "excuse me", but just interrupts, kind of like brother/sister-type stuff.

Oh, and can't forget about the butt-watching scene when Cath is swabbing Janine's mouth when they were interviewing her about the earring. Gil's eyes were trained on a specific part for a moment.
