I'd thought I'd bump this up with the best picture I think I have of Vartann.

Is it just me, or are all of the photos in this thread stretched out of shape vertically?

They're stretched for me too VerityKindle. Even the resizing box on the picture doesn't help it.

They are. It's the way they are capped. It's a full screen cap when the source is widescreen, so it stretches it and distorts the image.

Loves me some Vartann. He's so handsome, well-mannered and soft spoken. Like when he opened the car door for Sara. How many men do that anymore? What a catch!

I'm so intrigued about his first name, though. What do you guys think it is? I think I'm leaning towards Joe :D. Cause he's a regular Joe Cool.

I'm truly hoping he'll do that in S6, because he fell out of grace at that moment (at least for me).

Anyone happen to catch him in The Island? Major hottie. He was partnered up with Glenn Morshower (Mobley), one of my least favorite CSI characters.

Or something sensitive and romantic, like Eli.

I wanna write a fic, but I think I might need to name him something first.

    Re: Det Vartann

I think Lake personifies more of an artsy, rock-star, Jesse-from-Full-House kinda guy. Or someone who has a lot of tattoos.

The writers will probably toy with it until the end of the show, where it'll be revealed his name is... John .

What about Alec, a variation on his real name? (Although it brings to mind Alec Baldwin, whom I loathe...)

Alec works too, I think! He really gives me Alex vibes. Again, because of the actor, but he really does look (and acts) like an Alex. He's a gentleman but a smart ass when he needs to be.
