does anyone know an easy and quickish way to make fake blood from household items and things that are easily accesible?
I'd try that with ketchup, wooster sauce (to make it a bit darker) and maybe a bit of water (for consistency). You could also use food coloring. I've never tried that, so I don't know if that would work, but it never hurts to try!
You can use corn syrup along with red food colouring, and add powdered chocolate to make it extra thick.
Flour, water and red coloring makes a good fake wound. Stick in a plastic fork and voila! "Mom, I stuck a fork in my arm!"

oh... when i made a mini movie w/ my friends we used chocolate syrup, cause we did a black and white flim so the color didn't matter.
Yeah, the blood shouldn't be a striking red color if the victim has been lying dead for several hours already...Chocolate plus red is good.
