I think it will take something major for them to actually admit their feelings to each other, especially Mac, but I'm not too sure what yet. The good news is that the repeats with Lindsey are just starting over her in Britian. Woohoo!

That's rough. I mean, if it's any consolation, at least Peyton looks like an interesting character. Plus, she could bring about some angst. Always a good thing. I prefer the boxed set, personally; angst, fluff, and porn. But you know, that's just me. I'll write some fic with Peyton in it today or tomorrow and post the link here. You know I have already signed up for that set. I could see this testing how he sees Lindsay and the other way around. I can see angst now.
The thing is, you never know with spoilers. I remember having read some stuff about Mac and Jane Parsons for the second season. But who am I to say... my crystal ball has run out of batteries a long time ago, judging from my last comments... Oh, well. Still, I agree with you, CSI_Watcher_8, it would balance things: Having a "competitor" for Lindsay (the same way there is one for Mac--Danny, according to many people) could be interesting, especially watching their reactions.
The only other real problem which we have seen since the beginning is how Mac is still holding onto the memory of his ex-wife. Since I heard on this site and other sources that the TPTB haven't decided how long this character will stay around. We don't know what kind of impact she will have. But maybe they are saying that because they are afraid of the fan reaction after Lindsay's character was intoduced. Let's hope its just a little angst being thrown in.
This could bring a new angle to the Mac and Lindsay working/friendship dynamic. Lindsay who is settled in would observe Mac's response to the new team member, which would affect how Lindsay begins to see Mac. And Mac would begin to sense a change and tension between him and Lindsay in their interactions from then on. screamingpoet, I love your take on the Fanfiction angst. I hope to see that come to be on the show.
Yeah, it will be interesting to see how Lindsay sees how Mac treats new employee's especially in relationship to her. And to what is now their boss employee relationship.
