Thanks Roos ! and Misery, tonight, we'll play in white , even if our official colour it's the blue jersey , we won all our matches in white in this WC (and the last time we won against Italy, too)

Re: The World Cup and Other Football Stuff

I would like France to win tonight, why because it would be so funny that France wins their 2nd World Cup in eight years after playing so terribly in the first 3 matches. And VERY badly in the last World Cup where they dropped out with no goals. That was a funny WC. But yeah, I don't want Italy to win because they're very very very lucky players to get where they are now. Although, Im not saying they're bad players, they are good yes but they can twist things to make it go their way. I suppose it would be nice for them to win the World Cup and them coming home to play for regluated football teams.

    Go France!

    france vs italy

im not realllly hyped up about this WC finals, for some reason. but all in all, id support france, cos of thierry henry, and arsenals' link to france!

unfortunatly cannavaro wil keep henry quiet, but malouda and ribery will attack the wings, and vieira and makelele will keep the midfield quiet

    vieira vs gattuso
    pirlo vs ribery
    zidane vs totti

i think vieira would get forward and support zidane and henry, but rarely, since the threat of pirlo and totti.

    but abidal is...dodgy
saha...oh dear, two late subs, two yellow card, and his out of the finals

henry definately needs support, ribery does give him the extra width, but henry likes to run from the left wing into the box...
IF Materazzi starts..i can see henry being tackled a lot, cos Materazzi hasnt got good timing, and has been rash against germany.

but good luck to the both.
if italy win, they could come down with a bump, as the match fixing scandal is released tomrw
if france win, italy will be doubley disappointed, but id love to see zidance lift it, brilliant way to end a career!

juve/milan said they will accept any punishment
so thats buffon, cannavaro, zambrotta, nesta, camronesi, vieira, thuram, pirlo, trezeguet, and more...i think
at least 13 of italys squad are caught up and a few french players

    go france wooo!

Yeah, that's what I thought...you know, I don't even know what is Italia's alternate color...white also, maybe? I do know that France has white jerseys. But, since I'm for Italy, I hope your white jerseys won't bring you luck this time. :D

    FORZA ITALIA!

I'm really nervous. I think I got nervous at about 9pm (my time) and had to take a nap for a while to calm down, and now it's 1.50am and the match is about to start. :p

Hope the final will be amazing!

Let's go Italy :) I adore Zidane. I always have but I love my Italians more. I am so excited about this game. I've been waiting so long. My friend was laughing saying she wouldn't bug me today because she knew that my soccer was on lol. I can't wait.

    GO ITALY !!!

    Take Care,
    Dayna

OK, it's minute 100, and it's obvious that the Italians look more tired...

Hopefully, their defence lines are still fresh enough to keep at least this score until the end.

Wow, this is a really intresting game........definatly nail biting.....I hope it doesn't come to a shootout, I want to see the best team win, not the team that has the best shot.
