The Hummer H2 is a recent model, I'd say 2004 or 2005. Maybe earlier if they used them in the first and second seasons. You should check out the Hummer/GM websites, they might tell.

I believe that the Miami Crime Lab building where they film the external shots is in or near Hawthorn, LA.

I haven't watched Miami all 4 years - but I was curious. What role did Kim Delaney plan on Miami in season 1? How was she written off - I remember hearing she was on it - but I never did get to catch her on the show.

Kim Delaney played a CSI called Megan Donner in season 1 of Miami, and was in the following episodes:

Golden Parachute
Losing Face
Wet Foot/Dry Foot
Just One Kiss
Ashes To Ashes
Broken
Breathless
Slaughterhouse
Kill Zone
A Horrible Mind

She left after these 10 episodes - I believe her character left on the terms that she couldn't do the job anymore because it reminded her of her husband's death too much (or something like that. Someone please feel free to correct me). I don't think she has returned since.

OK - so she was Megan - I read she was a top notch csi like Horatio right?
I'll have too get season 1 and check it out. Would have been interesting to see him deal with a female equal. Now it seems more like he's the top guy and the three others are his subordinates.

Yes, Megan was actually his boss before those episodes, she took personal time after her husband died, and Horatio got the leading position in the lab. Megan was equal when she came back, I think. So Wibble you were right.

one quick question a little out of topic ...this morning till i dress for work have watch VH1 music tv and see Jennifer Lopez video Love Don't Cost A Thing. did there play Adam Rodriquez ?! or i go crazy after so many CSI Miami :lol:

Yep, Adam was in the Jennifer Lopez video. I think I remember him saying that he was friends with her from before or something.

I have some questions: I never saw S1 or S2 and a friend was asking me:

1. When did Stetler appear on the show?
2. What's his problem with H?
3. When did the tension between them begin?

1. First Stetler episode was season 2 premiere "Blood Brothers"
2. Obviously, Stetler feels that H got the promotion what would have been hsi (stetler's) promotion. This was mentioned in some eppy during the season 4.
3. Tension between them started somewhere in season 2, probably when Stetler started to date Yelina.

Just to add....

I think that the tension was there pretty much from the start. Horatio resents anyone questioning the integrity of his team, and is anti IAB for this reason.

Also, Ann Donahue introduced Stetler as a barrier (her word) between Horatio and Yelina. When Stetler asked Horatio in Blood Brothers if Yelina was ready to date again after Raymond's 'death', H was clearly not impressed. From that point on, H had a new nemesis to lock horns with.

The Season 4 promotion yarn was a new explanation for the tension, or an additional reason I suppose.
