I dissected frogs when I was a junior in college. We had to crack it's skull to remove the brain. We even had to identify each organ, muscles and bones for the exam. It was really gross at first especially when you had to remove the skin. But you get the hang of it when you're on your second frog.

Thank you Atergays! I feel so proud of myself, I wasn't the least bit squeamish, even though one guy in my class kept say things like "ewww!" so often that my science teacher, said "Enough with the noises already!" I did the dissection with no gloves on, since the only gloves avaliable were way too big. I think I was the only who did so!

I wuv piggies!! in fact my sib and i own two of them. they are so cute. we have a duroc and a cross. they are really clean and super smart.

 

Aughhhhhhhhh, no I never did. I never actually took biology and if I ever did I would have failed cause there is no way I would have done it. LOL

I have done a cow's heart in year 10. I found that really interesting seeing the chambers and the blood vessels and valves. The only bad part was the smell. It was the summer in a v. hot room.

I have dissected a heart in GCSE biology and at A-Level we dissected a rat and a frog, with the rat we were studying the intestine, so we had to make them as long as possible, it was interesting but some people had to leave when they released to do it properly you had to break their legs as they had been in formula for a year.

Ooooo... I went to a vet camp last year and we had to dissect a fish. It was SOOOOOOOO fun.

I had an awesome teacher in high school Biology and we got to disect a few things. I think we started out with a worm, but we also did a starfish, frog, crayfish and a yellow perch. We were supposed to do a fetal pig, but we ran out of time. I loved every minute of it.

Heh, the State of Utah actually passed a ban on animal dissections right before I got to high school. Although I did do some brain sectioning in my PhysioPsych class in college.

I have also dissected an Eye in a Biology lesson.

I only did a couple of dissections, but the ones i did we're pretty fun, the rat was the best but then smell was awful!

I remember that as well, the ones we were using had been preserved for a year and the smell wasn't great, and as I think I have already mentioned they had gone stiff and you had to break their legs at the hips to be able to dissect properly.
