Grey's Anatomy

That makes sense, I guess. I just was curious as to why the whole fanbase came up with this 'Mcdreamy' name for him. Has it ever been used on the show?

 

The show is actually where the name "McDreamy" came from, not the fanbase.
I think it was the second episode of the first season when the characters started calling him that (did a little transcript searching )

and McDreamy fits, just not so sure about him and Merideth
I know he doesn't love his wife anymore, she may or may not love him.
But I don't think he would be good with Merideth either
she's too neurotic

 

It's kinda funny...i actually really like Meredith. Sure she doesn't always do the 'right' thing, and sure, she tends to try to avoid her problems....but hey..i do it to. I don't think that makes her a bad person though, just maybe a more confusing of a person.
I guess i really like her because i can understand her, and i know what its like to feel lost and lonely and confused and all that.

Actually I like Merideth too, she's just neurotic. Too neurotic for McDreamy I think. But he's "a little off" too
but I like that too. I think that is what makes the show work.
It is over the top, and serious at the same time. That is what draws me in... what is going to happen next

 

I like McDreamy too....but sometimes i really want to hate him. I just don't like the way that he treats Meredith and Addison. He hasn't really treated them nicely...he reject Mere to try to fix his marriage (but yet he doesn't put ALOT of effort into making it work), and then he calls Mere a whore because she's trying to move on...and in her case i think she really loved McDreamy, and i think she just has random sex just to feel something else other than pain and confusion, and she uses sex so she can feel that she is attractive and liked...when Derek really hurt her.

he does act like a jerk to his wife and to Merideth.
He probably does that so he can tell himself not to fall in love with her. I did think he loved her, but he was still married and to "be the stand-up guy" he tried to work on his marriage instead.
I don't think she is a whore, I don't remember him calling her that. I remember her breaking down to him after she slept with George. I have missed some episodes of Grey's Anotomy, I've been catching up on CSI. Goodness Bless SPIKETV

 

haha....i love ABC...now i can catch up on the eps that i missed of GA this summer!!! woo-hoo!!!!

 

I spent all day last Wednesday watching the first season of Grey's Anatomy on DVD at my friends house and man, this show is GOOD! I love how Meredith and McDreamy have this weird love/hate relationship. Its fascinating! But i'll still be loyal to my CSI come fall.

I have no idea whether you guys talked about this already again and again.
But I have to tell you guys how much I LOVE Addison.
I think I kind of have a thing for the "mean" people.

 

I love Addison too but I don't think she's portrayed as being really that bad and I think that's what the writers wanted.

I think to a certain extent, everyone has to like Meredith a tiny bit, even if you hate everything she does and all the decisions she makes. I just find it hard to fathom how you can love a show if you seriously hate the lead character. Or maybe you really really hate her but you can relate to her in some ways? I don't know.
She really grated on me about how she wasn't angry enough at Derek when she found out he had a wife and also at the way she treated George. I mean she may have been drunk and upset that night but SERIOUSLY?!
