I don't know about y'all, but I didn't think that she had much chemistry with the rest of the cast and she was out of place. I think it's the right call.

Personally, I'm hoping we get a little "CSI" reunion, and they cast Emily Proctor as the female lead.

Will be a mid-season replacement

NEW SERIES FOR LATER THIS SEASON:

CRIMINAL MINDS: BEYOND BORDERS (Spinoff) stars Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner Gary Sinise in a drama about the specialized International Division of the FBI tasked with solving crimes and coming to the rescue of Americans who find themselves in danger while abroad. Heading the department is Unit Chief Jack Garrett (Sinise), a seasoned 20-year veteran of the Bureau. The team he trusts with his life includes Matthew Simmons (Daniel Henney), a former military hero with split-second profiling skills he honed on the battlefield, and Russ “Monty” Montgomery (Tyler James Williams), the unit’s compassionate, brilliant tech analyst who additionally liaises stateside with the families of those in trouble while his group is far from home. These exceptional agents are dedicated to safely returning U.S. residents home by profiling and identifying criminals who are beyond our borders. The pilot was a planted spin-off of an episode of CRIMINAL MINDS broadcast on April 8, 2015. Emmy Award winner Mark Gordon, Erica Messer and Nick Pepper are executive producers for ABC Studios in association with CBS Television Studios and The Mark Gordon Company. The episode was directed by Glen Kershaw (“Criminal Minds”).

^^

Maybe that's good if it's in January.

I do notice some shows starting in November though, ugh... Chicago Fire is doing that. ugh

I finally watched this episode last night. I knew that Agent Callahan wouldn't be going to Barbados, but why did Spencer stay behind, too?

Anna Gunn was their legal expert--knowing the law mumbo-jumbo for whatever county Sinise's team go to. With her not on the show anymore, I guess they will have to recast, because that role is needed. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Matt's Inside Line

Any scoop on what the final cast will be for Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders? Will Anna Gunn’s role be recast or will they create a new character? –LaShawna

The midseason Criminal Minds offshoot will actually create multiple characters as it fine-tunes its cast. Explaining the tweaks, CBS president Nina Tassler told me, “Gary [Sinise] is sort of larger than life and [as Jack Garrett] he filled a lot of the same [needs as Gunn’s character]. But we’re actually going to be adding a couple of new characters” that “speak more to the needs of the franchise.”

There is a part of me that wishes it would be Melina, but I doubt many of us would like that much, since a few were already saying Jack had a lot of Mac vibes.

Gary Sinise in a new TV show. That's good news ! I hope I'll be able to watch this show in my country too. I've never watched Criminal Minds. But fortunately they didn't air season 10. So I'll be able to watch the episode "Beyond Borders" too. I've just watched the trailer. And I was glad to hear Gary Sinise's voice again. ;)
