I wasn't too taken with the 1950's flashback episode. The solution seemed too easy and obvious. I like the idea of someone committing a murder from the lab, however I think to lend it some weight that this would be a great way for an established character to leave. I thought they could have made better use of Steve Austin / Colt Seavers / Lee Majors though.

I found myself more interested in the original murder than the copycat...

    ^ So did I.
I have to say that the cases at the mo really arent drawing me in. They are not bad episodes, just rather dull. The Mac romance also isnt doing anything for me. It is good that he is happy, but they are devoting too much time to it.

I didn't realize they were devoting too much time to it.

Well, for my personal tastes anyway! Christine seems dull to me. I liked Peyton and that romance, but this seems a bit forced. Maybe if the cases were a bit more interesting I wouldnt mind so much.

Well the season finale took me by surprise, I didnt realise we were so close to the US broadcast dates. As it stood it would of been a very good end to NY as a whole had it not been renewed. The only thing missing was probably an appearance from someone like Stella.

I think it's because it had a shorter season than it usually does.

I think it might be because of the shortened 18 episode season.

Well that explains why we got to watch it right after s7 ended. Usually we get Miami and NY after UK people are either half season ahead or already finished with it.

So now I know that I'm somewhere 15 episodes behind.

    So there's only 18 episodes?
It might mean whole summer season unless they don't change schedule at some point.

You guys are lucky- now I've found out where we are up to in NZ, CSI: season 12 episode 13, CSI: Miami season 9 and waiting for season 10 to start and CSI: NY season 6 episode 13.

Well recently I feel like that. But last year it was like forever till either NY or Vegas here. They took like eternity to show NY's season 6 on rerun (like a reminder of where we left of ages before) and then continued with s7 and now 8.
And little less eternity to keep up with Vegas. They even managed to outrun UK region on Miami season 10 now. But stopped Vegas somewhere at the beginning of season 12 like last fall or something.

I count lucky only for CSI's. Albeit only about UK speeds.
Mentalist is like season and half behind and H50 is season behind from original airing.
Not even speaking about Bones, Grey's anatomy and still ER, Psych and WAT that seems to be forgotten
