    First one here :)

Pretty good ep overall :) I'll give it a B+

    Screentime was pretty even :)

Great to see Sara and Archie

Nice scene betweeen Sara and Ray at the end

Used to like DJK but now he's getting on the nerves, they've overdone him or something

The case was pretty good, had some good twists, and kept you guessing, except I had already suspected that the secretary was involved somehow

Catherine was out in the field for a little while then back at the lab being supervisor, which is great but she's spending a lot of time in the lab or is it just me?

Poor Greg in this ep, I hope his identity theft doesn't get too bad, Hodges calling Greg G, do they watch Bond movies together ?? and that's how he got the nickname

Boy Wendy has been gone for what..6 episodes now and she still gets a mention, I thought we were lucky enough to hear about her in Blood Moon, I miss Wedges :(

We need a guydate with all the guys, Nick, G, Hodges, Henry, Archie, Vartann, Bobby, Ray, and heck Ecklie too  Kinda like they did in Appendicitement

I enjoyed this episode, though got a bit grossed-out by the opening (and I thought I was past that with this show).

All the main characters got excellent screen time, and I'm really liking the balance the writers have achieved this season. Maybe fewer really is better, even though I miss Wendy and some of the other lab rats.

I also feel that not only are we seeing more of Greg, but we're seeing more of the real Greg. They're getting his humor along with the quirky intelligence that he always had in the lab. Maybe now the trade-off of sending him out into the field is finally paying off. It took a while, but better late than never.

Is this the first official notice we've had that Catherine and Vartann are (apparently) going to tie the knot?

Eeep LOVED this episode! Favorite after House of Hoarders. A!

    Fair screen time for everyone.

Doc's comment about Vartann to Cath ;) I wanted more! Byline I was thinking the same thing!!!

Sara, Nick, & Hodges rock paper scissors was greaaaat! NEVER go for scissors Sara!

    Poor Hodges :(

I felt really bad for Langston. I'm glad Sara was there to talk to him both times. Especially since Sara has scars of her own, she can relate to Langston.

Brass was HYSTERICAL! He scared the crap out of the guy in interrogation! I'm glad we saw more of him.

Another Grissom mention :) YAY! Seriously tho I'm guessing Sara was with him last week because when exactly have they spent time TOGETHER ?

I hope Greg figures out his identity theft crisis.....

The scene between Cath & Hodges was priceless. So Greggo & Hodges have been spending time together...& it's going well for Vartillows...;)

    Anything more ? I'll add tomorrow :)

Interesting scene with Nick and Catherine about his 'therapy'.

I'm starting to wonder if this is is all leading up to something dreadful for our Nicky boy.

    Great ep!

Loved the screentime Greg got and Eric was funny at the end yelling in the phone about his ID theft

I took the "G" comment as Hodges trying to fit in with the guys since Nick and Warrick sometimes called him that.

I liked this episode overall. I felt the screentime was well shared. The plot was complex and the opening scene was downright creepy.

Something that struck me, what was with the multiple references from Nick about beer (at the security guy vic's house and at the end talking to Catherine)? Add to that Catherine's concern for his discontinuing his therapy sessions...is Nick heading toward a coping/dependency problem:(? Seemed to me like they were planting seeds in this episode.

I love that we are finally getting to know Greg a little bit better (so long overdue, and so greatly appreciated!!)!:)

Hurray for the return of Archie!

I have to say, I am really enjoying this season so far.

Well, thanks to CTV, I got to watch Appendicitement again at 4 tonight. Found out that I get CBS from Detroit too though, so still caught this ep at 7.

Decent episode overall, although I still don't like one-case episodes. All the twists and turns in the case got me confused the first time through. Lots of personal character moments mixed in, which were nice, but also a bit distracting.

Catherine getting relationship advice from Doc now, as well as Hodges.

When I saw the return address on the envelope, I groaned.. but then when I saw the bean, I giggled. Is it wrong of me to be cheering for Haskell? With this, and getting his lunch in the hospital in Shock Waves - he just keeps getting the better of them.

Sara "I still smell, don't I" - flashback to Bully for You.

Why does it seem like Ray was the lead on this case, when he's the most junior CSI? The others reporting their findings to him, and Brass calling Ray not Catherine when they find the car.

More Grissom references, but still no talk of where he is NOW.

More Nick and Sara acting like cops, clearing a house. At least this time they were (mostly) behind the real cops..

Some weird kind of bonding between Greg and Hodges.

I'm glad Sara and Ray had a bit more of a conversation at the end. They had a moment similar to that in season 10 (I think, I forget which episode), and I thought she'd be good at helping him with the whole "angry genes" thing.

I wonder how long it took them to actually sort through all that stuff. Ray said he got the letter "the other day" - but he was still wearing the same shirt.

I really liked this episode. I am impressed with this season so far, with the expectation with a couple of early eps. I mean 11 seasons and they still got it.

I like to see the actual continuity so far this season. The relationship between Catherine and Vartann being mentioned and Hodges knowing about it. Hodges and his loss of Wendy still. The counseling mention for Nick. The only one I do not care for is Nate Haskell being sort of mentioned. I am getting sick of him. Although I liked that he sent Ray a Kidney Bean. It sort of made me laugh.

Good excuse for Hodges being out in the field and I loved Greg calling him H. And then Greg saying he needs to get out and Hodges asking "when?" Greg looked like he regretted saying that. Then the whole Hodges calling Greg "G" the rest of the show. DJ, looks like we might be getting our wish.

Poor Greggo and him getting scammed on the credit card thing. Reminds me of a time someone got my CC number and withdrew money from an ATM with it in Australia!! My bank obviously knew it was not me, since I did a transaction the same day here in Florida. They knew I could not get to Australia that fast.

We got to see Archie...yay! It seems Greg has become the Ballistics guy now. Before he was A/V.

I did like the Ray/Sara scene, them talking about scars. The one thing that does annoy me is why is it always Ray who gets to be in the interrogation room with Brass and the suspect/killer? Why can't it be Sara, Nick, or Greg for a change? It seems lately it is always Ray and being he is the lowest level CSI there, I just do not think it is right.

Overall I really liked this...give it an A-.

I really, really liked this one. It felt like old school CSI for me. It was really balanced with everyone playing a part. The case held my interest.

As for the CSIs acting like cops...I've kind of come to accept that this is something the writers are going to have them doing from now on, so I'm trying not to let it bother me. Especially...you know...if it means I get gun porn from Nick and get to see him being all macho.

I do like all of the Hodges we've been seeing lately too.

Nick's mention of going out for a beer...I don't know...could be hinting at something but I kind of doubt it. Not that unusual to go out for a beer after work. But I did LOVE his asking Catherine, "You sure? We can talk about our feelings!" :guffaw:

    Great episode!

I just realized something as I was rewatching some of CSI, when Greg is talking to Catherine, they are actually going into Grisson's old office. They walk by Nick's desk and Greg actually sits at his desk! Finally we see more of that shared office. Wonder is Sara has the other desk?

I have to say I'm surprised no one is talking more about that scene and all about Greg.

I think there is more going on with Nick because why would he quit therapy after two sessions. Sometimes people do it because the therapist has hinted at something they are not ready to deal with.

FWIW, I imagine this episode took a lot of inspiration from the real-life saga of Todd Davis, and his ID protection company, LifeLock. You will remember him as the fool who paraded around Times Square on a truck with his Social Security number on it. Well, it turns out that his company was complete b.s., was forced to pay a huge fine for false advertising, and Davis wasn't able to actually prevent his own identity from being stolen.

Article about Davis and Lifelock from the New Times (LL is based in Tempe, AZ) http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/2010...-about-its-identity-theft-protection-service/

And another FWIW: according to federal law, if your credit card is used without your consent, your liability is limited to $50 as long as you file a notarized affidavit of forgery. Creditors cannout hound you for payment while the case is investigated. And most courts extend the same stay to other types of fraud, as long as you are willing to take the case to court. See 15 USC 168.

    Who?

I think Nick referred to Greg as "G" back in Greg's labrat days. Warrick may have as well, I can't recall for sure.

I don't know about Ecklie, but throw in Brass, Doc, Superdave and Vartann too and I'd be all for it. :D

    Yeah, that was great!

How did I not notice this? I must have been writing thoughts about the ep down during that part lol.

My thought was that maybe the therapist brought up Nick being buried alive and he just didn't want to go there again.

I thought about Lifelock the whole entire episode, but I didn't know of the trouble with the company. I was wondering why I hadn't seen any Lifelock commercials lately lol. I thought about signing up with them, glad I didn't now or someone would have used my credit card to by snacks and a yurt (sp?) whatever the heck a yurt is lol.

Did the perp make the guy eat his own ear? Eeww!

N: What's the code for suspicious ooze?
    R: Six, six, six.

Greg saying Hodges should get a night on the town and Hodges asking when was funny.

They all looked so cute in their hard hats.

Brass: Here's looking at you, kid. (when they find the eyeball)

    Sara: I got yuck. haha!

Greg and Nick were both calling Hodges "H".

Loved Doc calling Cath "Lady Catherine".

    "Dead before shred".

Nate Haskell is a sick bastard sending Ray the kidney bean. Poor Ray. When I first saw that the envelope was from the corrections facility my first thought was that Ray's wife is the warden from "XXX" who just so happened to be played by LF's real life wife Gina Torres.

Loved Greg reciting the ad. That was cute.

Loved Brass roleplaying as the suspect lol.

"Kind of looks like a Chia Pet" lol.

    Archie!

Hodges' camp story... man I wish Greg hadn't stopped him, I really wanted to hear the rest of it lol.

Poor Greg getting a credit card bill for 12,000 I think it was?

The Ray/Sara scene at the end was nice. I loved that she told him not to let Nate get in his head. Good advice. She would probably know too cause of little psycho Hannah.

    Summary:
    - that opening scene when the guy was being force-fed the soup was one of the only times I’ve almost gagged while watching this show.

    - I totally adore Sara’s curls & short hair. I remember Jorja saying that’s how her hair actually gets after it’s wet. This is also the way we first saw her when she arrived back in episode 2 of the first season. I really wish they would have kept that style all the way through instead of the flat/straight style. She’s so much more adorable with the short curls.

    - it was great to hear Brass get the pre-credit liner again as he sees the eyeball amongst the shredded pieces: “Here’s looking at you, kid”

    - Sara, Greg & Hodges “Rock, paper, scissors” was so cute. I was surprised that Sara didn’t whine after losing and having to do the “yuck”. They should have given it to Hodges, since he’s lowest on the totem pole.

    - The vis effect of showing the skull being put back together from the pieces was kind of cool.

    - Was it bad that I was laughing at Ray when he opened the letter from Haskell & saw the kidney bean? They don’t seem to be consistent in writing Ray these days. I was expecting to see Ray shrug it off and chuckle a little, not get upset & throw the letter & bean across the room.

    - Sara coming from the shower and still smelling. Ha! What happened to the lemons, Sara? There should have been a lemon reference for a little continuity, I think.

    - It’s cute how Hodges & Greg are calling each other by their initials: G & H

    - It’s great to see Brass back to his old self. Him trading places with DeVries, having him switch chairs in the interrogation was cute.

    - The ID Theft story reminds me of the old Sandra Bullock movie, The Net, where people who used the security system were the ones who got scammed. Yet when that movie came out, the internet was just a baby. Things like that seem a million times scarier these days.

    - I was chuckling at the full view of the “Crime Solve Board” as Cath & Greg were talking in the hallway. It seems that it’s just Nick, Catherine & the infamous “Joe” on the board these days. I’m guessing the board has become an inside joke for the cast & crew after all these years.

    - After all of the references to “man date”, and “who wants a beer?”, and “wanna get a drink”, I was really hoping to see one of the very infrequent shift get-togethers at a diner or bar (or even a bowling alley). Alas, I was highly disappointed.

    - I loved the silhouette shot of Sara fishing the bottle out of the pool with the light behind. Looked like she was on a lake fishing at sunset.

    - it’s funny that after all these years, every time I heard “quid pro quo”, I immediately think of Clarice Starling & Hannibal Lecter.

    - This “CSIs and their guns” thing is really starting to annoy me. If they were going to have the CSIs be the main cops to clear scenes and arrest people, why not do it from the beginning of the series? Why wait until you’ve done half a dozen seasons of the series, then start bringing it into the limelight? What was it…season 7…8…9…when they really started having the main CSIs draw their weapons on a regular basis? Before that, it was just a random thing. Either the detectives or uniform cops would be the ones to clear scenes and arrest suspects. I guess I don’t mind that they’re doing it, other than it bugs me that it’s happening more frequently as the series goes on and it ruins the continuity of earlier seasons. It’s also the reason that we seem to lack screentime for the detectives these days. Even Brass has been a bit AWOL recently.

That being said - I was a bit fearful when Sara went out of the house on her own as they were clearing it and found the dead body. However, on the bright side, it was great to see Sara in “cop” mode with her gun!

    - Did all of the trash processing remind anyone else of Cath, Sara & Nick going to the landfill in one of the early season episodes? I remember Marg saying back then that they went to a real landfill with real stinky trash and how she threw her shoes out of her car and into the pile of trash as she left the location when they were done filming. I also remember her saying that during filming of that early episode that Jorja & George were whining like little kids that they had to do a scene in the landfill. Wonder how it went here for Jorja, Eric & Wally. I’m sure they were cursing the writers at some point. I know I would be.

    Good episode.

Another mention of Grissom. Is he gonna be like the candy man.
Say his name enough times and he'll pop up.

Would love it if William did a Hitchcock style cameo...just pop-up somewhere in the background e.g. playing slots in a casino.
