"Inception" has been tending on twitter for a month straight now. May be a new record. I seriously encourage everybody to go and see this...

Sandra Bullock is the newest #1 highest paid actress in Hollywood. She made a reported $56M between June '09 and June '10.

Sylvester Stallone is facing allegations that his film crew for 'The Expendables' still owe quite a bit of money to several companies in Brazil where they filmed. Sly and his production company reportedly didn't settle their debts to drivers or security guards, as well as other companies and workers, and fled the country before paying. They still allegedly owe over $2 million!

Also going on with Sylvester Stallone, although he has confirmed that the Rocky series is done and over with, he has said he would love to keep the Rambo movies coming. The fourth installment was released in 2008, and he has reportedly started work on a prequel.

....He's sure come a long way from doing that porno in 1970.. :p

Aretha Franklin Breaks Ribs in Fall
    1:00AM EST 04 Aug 2010

As a result of an accident, Franklin, 68, will miss two free concerts in
    New York.

A spokesman for the Queen of Soul aid that she had broken ribs and
suffered abdominal pain after the fall, which happened on Sunday.

Reports from the US said that Franklin had slipped in the bath and would
need the rest of the month to recover.

Franklin said that her doctors have advised her to undergo tests.

She said efforts were under way to reschedule the cancelled concerts.

In a statement, the singer said that she was "very much looking forward to
being in Brooklyn and having a foot-long hot dog at Coney Island."

The concerts, which would have been the first time Franklin has performed
in Brooklyn, were set for Monday and Aug. 12.

Organizers of the concerts wished Franklin as "speedy recovery".

"Ms Franklin has been at the top of my wish list, and that dream was about
to come true," said Marty Markowitz. "We hope to reschedule when she is
    feeling better."

Franklin also was to perform at an Aug. 11 birthday party for US Rep.
    Charles Rangel.

    Bummer on Aretha:(

*Charile Sheen's plea deal with prosecutors allowed him to avoid jail time for a Christmas Day assault on his wife and also won't require him to do public service around the tiny town of Aspen. The "Two And A Half Men" actor pleaded guilty Monday to misdemeanor third-degree assault in exchange for prosecutors dropping two lesser more serious charges of meancing. He was sentenced to 30 days in a rehab. center, 30 days of probation and 36 hours of anger management. Sheen has 30 days to make arrangements to serve his sentence at Promises Treatment Center in California, though whether he will have to report there remains in question, Sheen's attorney, Yale Galanter, said the actor has spent 93 days at Promises this year and the center could choose to credit that time toward his sentence--[Amazing that now-a-days, celebrities go to rehab. instead of jail, or like Lindsay Lohan who got 90 days only served 13. So they commit these deplorable acts, and never really pay the price for their tawdry crimes]~

Yes, and in cases of infidelity and domestic violence public sympathy tends to go to the partner who is more famous. Most of Sheen's (and others) fans blame the women they were involved with.

Tabloid need to get it right. Ceindreadh is right about Emma being 51. She is born in 1959. I didn't think it right for her age and she wasn't that old. I remember her.

"The Other Guys are the main guys at the box office, knocking off "Inception" to take the No. 1 spot. The buddy-cop parody featuring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, made $35.6 million in it's opening weekend, according to Sunday estimates from Sony Pictures. It's the 2nd highest debut for a film in which Ferrell has starred, and yet another strong showing for the movies he's made with his frequent collaborator, writer-director Adam McKay. Their biggest opening was "Talladega Nights:The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby", which debuted at No. 1 with $47 million in August 2006. "Step Brothers" made $30.9 million and came in 2nd place when it opened in July 2008. Their first film together, 'Anchorman:The Legend of Ron Burgundy", opened in 2nd place in July 2004 with $28.4 million. "Inception", which had been the top film in the country the past 3 weeks fell to No. 2, with $18.6 million. Christopher Nolan's mind bending dream thriller from Warner Bros. has now made $227.7 million since it debut July 16. The other new movie opening nationwide this weekend, the dance sequel "Step Up 3-D" from DIsney and Summit Entertainment, came in 3rd place with $15.5 million~

Manager says Fantasia hospitalized after overdose

NEW YORK – Fantasia is in stable condition at a North Carolina hospital after taking an overdose of "aspirin and a sleep aid," according to the manager for the former "American Idol" champ.

The overdose came days after the singer was named in court documents by Paula Cook, who accused Fantasia of having an affair with her husband, Antwaun Cook.

Brian Dickens, Fantasia's manager, said in a statement Tuesday that winner was "overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention."

"Last night, Fantasia was hospitalized. She took an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid. Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time," he said. His statement did not specify where she was taken and he did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

*Sylvestor Stallone has proven he's not yet expendable at the box office. Stallone and his pumped-up pals lifted Lionsgate's 1980's-style action romp "The Expendables" to a No.1 debut with $35 million according to studio estimates on Sunday. While the macho "Expendables" lured in males, Julia Roberts delivered a crowd pleaser for women with Sony's "Eat, Pray, Love", which opened No.2 with $23.7 million. The previous weekend's top movie Sony's cop comedy "The Other Guy", slipped to 3rd place with $18 million, raising it's 10-day total to $70.5 million. The blockbuster "Inception" was 4th with $11.4 million, lifting it's total to $248.6 million. Opening 5th place with $10.5 million was "Scott Pilgram vs. The World", starring Michael Cera~

NEW YORK – Michael Douglas has a tumor in his throat and will undergo radiation and chemotherapy.

The Academy Award-winning actor's treatment is scheduled to last eight weeks.

The actor is outside the United States, publicist Allen Burry said Monday, declining to give his location or where he would be treated.

Douglas and his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, purchased a house on the island of Bermuda nearly a decade ago, and Zeta-Jones said they planned to raise their two children there.
